Artistic innocence

The big yellow duck on Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace was crowded with onlookers, and Hoffman, the “father of the yellow duck,” came to the Guanfu Museum in order to hide. I said hello when I came, but it was too late. The day was my appraisal day, so I couldn’t take care of him, so I had to let him visit by himself.

He watched with great interest, for almost two hours. Finally, I called him to my place of work. He was drinking tea while watching my appraisal. During the intermission, we chatted with each other. He was particularly interested in the identification of cultural relics. He took a lot of photos and asked me about the status of Chinese cultural relics in the Netherlands. I told him that in the 18th century, the Dutch East India Company was the main force of China’s delivery of goods to Europe. Anything from that year is a valuable cultural relic today. I bought it in the Netherlands a few years earlier, including national treasures. .

Hoffman kept listening. He is 1.94 meters tall, his figure is too good, and he doesn’t have a trace of cellulite. He suddenly asked me if there are ducks in the Chinese cultural relics. I immediately called up the duck toad fragrance to show him. He was surprised, and he couldn’t think of the meaning of the duck standing alone toad. I told him that the Chinese call this “pressing fortune”. Duck is a homonym for pressing, and toad is fortune. This is the reason why Liu Hai plays with Jin Toad.

This is very different from the meaning of the big yellow duck. The Chinese give a toad the meaning of wealth, while the big yellow duck only makes money by innocence…
