Synopsis:

In the 1990s, Chen Yi and Miao Jing became acquainted through their parents’ meeting. Initially, Chen Yi was hostile towards Miao Jing, but after an injury, Miao Jing’s kindness began to change their relationship. However, their happiness was short-lived; Chen’s father passed away, and Miao’s mother disappeared. The two families did not reunite, leaving the two children to rely on each other. Upon arriving at university, Miao Jing bravely confesses her feelings, but Chen Yi is implicated in an arson case and becomes a key witness.

To protect Miao Jing, he forces her to leave Tengcheng and cooperate with the police to apprehend the suspect. Years later, Chen Yi runs a billiards hall, while Miao Jing returns to Tengcheng for an audit of Haoyun Logistics. The two reunite. Because of the arson incident, Chen Yi harbors suspicions about Haoyun’s boss, Zhang Bin, and tries to prevent Miao Jing from working there, but to no avail.

Zhang Bin’s smuggling business is gradually exposed, and to protect Miao Jing, Chen Yi has no choice but to get involved himself. The two work side-by-side, cooperating with the police to fight Zhang Bin. Ultimately, Zhang Bin and his accomplices are brought to justice. Severely injured, Chen Yi confesses his feelings to Miao Jing, and the two finally become a couple.
