Zhaojue Temple is located on the northern outskirts of Chengdu. Zhaojue Temple has been burned down and rebuilt several times, due to the natural disasters and wars, the modern temple was completed in 1984. It is the first wooden temple in the west of Sichuan. Important in the history of Buddhism in China today is the model of temples in Southeast Asia.
