Nagarjuna Sagar is  important Buddhist tourist place located at about 150 kms away from the Hyderabad. The place derived its name from a Buddhist monk Acharya Nagarjuna. The main attraction of the place is the dam named after the Buddhist saint. The vestiges of ancient Buddhist sculptures and architectures can be seen in this man-made island.
