Synopsis:
Maruyama, a member of the Hokkaido Assembly, is shot dead by someone in Tokyo. The gun used was found to have been stolen by a police officer in Hokkaido 25 years ago. Suspect Nakai was in prison, but was released after his sentence just the day before Maruyama was killed. Takako Nishina, the administrator of the Hokkaido Prefectural Police, will be assigned to the National Police Agency for a serious matter. Takamura, the chief of the wide-area investigation section of the National Police Agency, who directs the investigation, first heads the east of his subordinates to the club “Seven Stars” in Tokyo, where Nakai’s daughter Miwako works.
