Synopsis:
After the Mukden Incident of September 18, 1931, Ma Zhong Qiu and his family’s peaceful life erupts in chaos. Ma Zhong Qiu grows from a low-level swordsman to a righteous police officer, and finally becomes a soldier for the Communist Party of China. Fate forces him to suffer many hardships and life-death situations. At first, he fights for the day that his family can reunite again in peace, and then he fights for love. Eventually, he fights as a protector of his country and people. Over the course of his journey, he meets and falls for dancer Nan Yan. Their love suffers ups and downs against the backdrop of war, but eventually, their genuine and unselfish love gives them strength as they fight for their country together.
