Shuri Castle in Okinawa caught fire

Shuri Castle in Okinawa, Japan caught fire at around 2 o’clock 40 minutes local time. It is expected to be seriously damaged again after the castle was rebuilt after the Second World War and the castle was almost completely destroyed. In addition, the castle has been registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Anyone who has plans to go here maybe closed to build a new building instead.

Okinawa police reported that the main palace (Seiden) and the northern palace (Hokuden) burned all back. Also, the fire is burn to the South Palace (Nanden), which currently has about 20 fire engines and the police announced that nearby villagers would escape.

No injuries were reported.
