Synopsis:

On his way to take an exam amidst the rampage of monsters, Pu Songling, a scholar, met Su Xian, a nine-tailed fox who came to repay his kindness in his previous life. Su Xian protected Pu Songling again and again, and Pu Songling fell in love with her.

However, after learning of Su Xian’s true identity, Pu Songling could not accept her identity as a fox monster. Su Xian protected him again and again, and in order to save Pu Songling, she gave her inner elixir to a snake monster, and eventually died together with the snake monster.
