Synopsis:

Twenty years ago, Xishan Sect leader Mu Qingge (Xiang Hanzhi) offered his golden elixir to seal the spiritual spring on his apprentice Su Yishui (Deng Wei) in order to protect the common people and prevent the demon spirit spring from causing trouble in the world.

Mu Qingge was mistaken for a demon by the world and was jointly killed by the four major sects. Apprentice Su Yishui learned the truth before Mu Qingge’s death, went through all kinds of dangers to find the reincarnation tree, and offered half a golden elixir to help Mu Qingge be reborn.

Twenty years later, Mu Qingge was reincarnated as Xue Ranran (Xiang Hanzhi). Su Yishui accepted the weak and dying Xue Ranran as his disciple and vowed to protect her for the rest of her life. Now the seal of the spiritual spring is loose again, and the demon cultivator Duntian wants to use the spiritual spring to recreate the demon child with the intention of harming living beings.

Su Yishui remembered Mu Qingge’s instructions and sealed the spiritual spring back to the netherworld at the cost of his life. Su Yishui was framed by Duntian when he sealed the spiritual spring and lost his memory.

But even though he lost his memory, Su Yishui fell in love with Xue Ranran again. Su Yishui and Xue Ranran joined hands and went through many hardships. In the end, they broke the conspiracy of Duntian, protected the people, and restored the world to clarity.
