Synopsis:

Chang Dong led a team to the desert two years ago. At night, a squally intense wind blew up, and all eighteen teammates led by Chang Dong were buried in the desert with no dead bodies. Chang Dong disappeared since then with guilt and regret. When Ye Liuxi, who had no memory of her past, showed up with photos that contained clues about the accident, they decided to team up to go to the desert to find out the truth.

Plot Introduction to “Westward from Jade Gate”

The melon seller Ye Liuxi and the shadow puppet Xiaoyuan, one in order to solve the mystery of his life experience, the other in order to collect the body of his girlfriend, the two teamed up to go deep into the desert.

The strange phenomena that kept popping up in the no-man’s land pointed them to the weathered Yumen Pass. The two advanced and retreated between the Habayashi Guards, the Alchemist, and the Scorpion Eyes, deducing the truth among the many Rashomon gates, and also discovering true love through life and death tests. The truth seems to be close at hand, but it is also trapped in a larger conspiracy.
