Zhu Shuzhen and Li Qingzhao’s equally famous works were burned by their parents

If you talk about the famous female poet in ancient China, everyone in the world will think of Li Qingzhao, who shocked future generations with his talent. But what many people don’t know is that in addition to Li Qingzhao, there was also a female lyricist who thought her name was Zhu Shuzhen in the Song Dynasty.

Different from Li Qingzhao, Zhu Shuzhen has a beautiful appearance and is quite talented. He wrote more than 400 love poems in his life. But unfortunately, because Zhu Shuzhen had an extramarital affair, most of her works were burned by her parents.

Zhu Shuzhen (1135-1180), also known as Zhu Shuzhen and Zhu Shuzhen, also known as Youqi Lay, was a famous female lyricist in the Southern Song Dynasty and one of the female writers with the most abundant works since the Tang and Song Dynasties. . Zhu Shuzhen was born in an aristocratic family. Her father was Zhu Xiyan, the prefect of Lin’an. The family was wealthy, well-educated, proficient in rhythm and painting.

Zhu Shuzhen has been smart since childhood and likes to read. After becoming an adult, Zhu Shuzhen married a small official. Although they lived a fairly stable life, Zhu Shuzhen was not satisfied, because the other party was just an ordinary person, and the two could not communicate spiritually. So, not long after the marriage, Zhu Shuzhen complained because of disappointment, and even wrote the following poem to express her anger:

“Sorrow”

The gulls, herons, and the mandarin ducks make a pool, and it is important to know that the wings are not dependent on each other.

Dongjun does not focus on flowers, so why does he take off life and manage branches?

Zhu Shuzhen is so sad, in fact, it has something to do with her husband. The other party not only can’t appreciate Zhu Shuzhen’s talent, but also looks for flowers and willows outside, so Zhu Shuzhen wrote a song “Qing Ping Le Summer Lake Tour”: “Annoyed smoke and dew , leave me to live for a while. Join hands with Ouhua Lake on the road, a drizzle of yellow plums in an instant. Jiaochi is not afraid of people guessing, and sleeps with clothes.

Of course, such blatantly expressive poems were naturally unwelcome in the feudal society at that time that respected “men are superior to women”, so Zhu Shuzhen was greatly criticized.

Perhaps it was because she was completely desperate for her husband. In the last days of Zhu Shuzhen’s life, she chose to separate from her husband and returned to her parents’ home. Of course, they didn’t get divorced. However, what Zhu Shuzhen did was not understood by the family. In the following days, Zhu Shuzhen met the confidant of life and had feelings for each other. And this matter was discovered by Zhu Shuzhen’s parents. They were furious and decided to give up the daughter.

At this time, Zhu Shuzhen completely felt the coldness of the world, and finally died in depression. After Zhu Shuzhen’s death, her parents’ dissatisfaction with her broke out completely and burned most of her works with a fire. There is a record of Li Qingzhao in “Song History”, but there is no record of Zhu Shuzhen. The earliest existing document that records Zhu Shuzhen’s life story is the “Broken Intestine Collection Preface” written by Wei Zhonggong in the ninth year of Chunxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1182).

Wei Zhonggong lived in an era close to that of Zhu Shuzhen, he is not a big man, he may be a small literati, “Compared to Wuling, people who see good things in the residence often recite Zhu Shuzhen’s poems, and every time he eavesdrops on them, it is fresh and graceful, thoughtful and affectionate, and can tell what people want. , is it within the reach of the generalist? It’s not like I sighed three times without singing it.”

After coming into contact with the popular works of Zhu Shuzhen, Wei Zhonggong liked it very much, even to the point of infatuation. It’s just that Zhu Shuzhen died at that time, and her works were burnt to the ground. “And her poems were burnt by her parents. Today, there are hundreds of people who don’t survive. !”

Wei Zhonggong then made up his mind to collect Zhu Shuzhen’s works. After several years of hard work, he organized the collected more than 300 works into a collection, named “Broken Gut Collection” (Zhu Shuzhen called himself a Broken Gut Man), and stored more than 330 poems, namely “Broken Heart Collection”. Broken Intestine Poems”, there are more than 30 poems in it, called “Breakout Poems”, and a preface to it.

Wei Zhonggong said in the preface that “there is a biography of Tangzuo, the king of Lin’an, and Gu Shuqi is probably a biography.” Because Wang Tangzuo of Lin’an had already written a biography for Zhu Shuzhen, he did not describe it in detail, but only wrote a biography. Probably, made some emotions. It is a pity that the biography written by Wang Tangzuo has not been handed down, and Wei Zhonggong’s preface is unclear, so Zhu Shuzhen’s life experience has become a mystery.
