Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə ˈliːpə/ ( listen ) DOO-ə-_-lee-pə, Albanian: Dua Lipa; born 22 August 1995) is an English and Albanian singer, songwriter, and model. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her debut album Dua Lipa in 2017.

The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and spawned nine singles, including Be the One and IDGAF, as well as the UK number-one single New Rules, which peaked at number six in the United States. In 2018, Lipa received the Brit Awards for Female Solo Artist and Best New Artist.

In April 2018, she released the single One Kiss with Calvin Harris, which reached number one in the UK and became the longest-running number-one single by a female artist. In 2018, she received the Brit Awards Song of the Year 2019, and she also won a Grammy for Best New Artist, and Electricity, her collaboration with Silk City, won a Grammy for Best Dance Performance. Her success has led to her album becoming one of the most-streamed albums on Spotify.

Lipa has won two Grammys, three Brit Awards, and two MTV Europe Music Awards. She has also been nominated for three Billboard Music Awards, one American Music Award, and ten MTV Video Music Awards.
