Basic information of Poland

Republic of Poland or Poland or Rzeczpospolita Polska or Polska [ˈpɔlska] and the capital is Warsaw. Warsaw, the capital, has shopping and nightlife, plus the Warsaw Uprising Museum, honoring the city’s WWII-era resistance to German occupation. Poland is a country in the middle of Europe. West boundary to Germany South to Czech Republic and Slovakia East to Ukraine and Belarus. North to Baltic Sea, Lithuania and Kaliningrad region of Russia. Poland was a part of the Russian Empire.

County (powiaty) is divided into 314 local counties (powiaty ziemiń), 65 counties (powiaty grodzkie) and 2,478 municipalities (gminy).
