Eravikulam National park is located in the Idukki district of Kerala and is under consideration for selection as the world heritage site by the UNESCO. The topography of the national park is fragmented along the western ghats of India. With an area cover of 97 km, it has the largest surviving population of Nilgiri Tahr. Besides this, the park provides a habitat for 26 species of mammals.
