1. Red Culture
Ganzhou is an important birthplace of Mao Zedong Thought and a famous old revolutionary base in the country. On November 7, 1931, in Yeping Village, Ruijin, Ganzhou, a “red China” – the Chinese Soviet Republic was born, so it is known as the “red capital” and “the cradle of the republic”.
During the Second Civil Revolutionary War, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping and the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries fought and lived here. The Central Revolutionary Base was established here. The Red Army’s 25,000-mile Long March started from here, and the arduous three-year guerrilla war started here.
Among the first-generation generals of the Republic, 9 of the top ten marshals (except Xu Xiangqian) and 7 of the top ten generals (Su Yu, Chen Geng, Huang Kecheng, Tan Zheng, Xiao Jinguang, Zhang Yunyi, Luo Ruiqing) are all in the land of southern Gansu Live and fight. There are 18 counties (cities, districts) in Ganzhou City, except most of Zhanggong District and Jiading Town in Xinfeng County. Except for several other settlements, the rest belong to Hakka-speaking areas. Hakka people account for more than 95% of the total population of Ganzhou, and are known as the “cradle of Hakka”.

On January 6, 2013, the Ministry of Culture officially issued a document agreeing to set up a national-level “Hakka Culture (Gannan) Ecological Protection Experimental Zone” in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province.
3. Songcheng Culture
Ganzhou is the most well-preserved city in the Northern Song Dynasty in my country today, especially a waterfront city with the most cultural relics in the Song Dynasty. Walking into the ancient city of Ganzhou is like being in the “Song City Museum”, so it has the reputation of “Song City in the South of the Yangtze River”.
