IDEA Cebu’s learning system

IDEA Cebu places a high emphasis on the development of speaking skills. All IDEA teachers have undergone intensive training and skill development courses to help them improve their speaking skills. Students have fully developed their language skills. IDEA welcomes students interested in learning a language in Cebu. Regardless of basic skills and abilities, age or gender, IDEA can tailor a curriculum to meet the needs of learners as much as possible. IDEA Cebu’s learning system concept has three key components:

1. Vocabulary: students will study at least 15-20 new words a day
2. Drill: test and practice using the lessons learned earlier
3. Self-Study: every evening Students will need time to review. Study and understand the additional lessons. *Required for language levels A0 – A2 [Basic – High-Beginner 2] and TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC Guaranteed.

System for selecting and training qualified teachers

The selection and training of teachers at the Institute is divided into 5 stages to enable teachers to develop their teaching skills and classroom management.

In addition, teachers of the Institute are continuously trained to develop their full potential for teaching. This includes 1) weekly practice sessions and meetings, 2) intensive training and monthly workshops, 3) training by internationally accredited institutions such as TESOL ASIA and Callan, and monthly tests such as TOEIC, IELTS.

Learning English in Cebu with IDEA Cebu can be divided into 4 parts:

1) Man to Man (1:1) Class – to increase study time and practice English through speaking to students with less time. the teacher’s speech down Students will study 1-1 with the teacher of the institute for 50 minutes per class.

2) Small Group Class – Small groups of no more than 8 students per group, students will be able to use what they have learned from 1:1 to practice in group classes. Students will not only interact with their teachers but also with their peers. class as well Course activities include discussion, role-playing, dabate, presentation and recitation.

3) Big Group Class – Classes for large groups of no more than 30 students per room are available for students to choose between Activities such as Yoga, Zumba, Dance and Practice such as TOEIC, Survival English, Business Presentation, etc.

4) Optional Group Class – IDEA Cebu has subjects that students can choose to participate in or not. There is a Vocabulary test in the morning, where students can test their vocabulary every morning. Optional afternoon classes include Grammar Review for Beginners, Theaters for Intermediate and Advanced Language Students, and Toast Master’s Club for English language practice with conferences and speeches.

Mandatory for students with A0 – A2 [Basic – High-Beginner 2] and Score Guaranteed Programs students • For students with a language level of B1 [Pre intermediate 1] and above, they can choose whether they want to test their vocabulary.
