Day 1: Includes: lunch

  • 09:20Meet at Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit Tokyo City i on the 1st basement floor of the KITTE building
  • 09:40 Arrive at Tokyo Station An English-speaking tour conductor will guide you to the Shinkansen at Tokyo Station.
  • 09:40 From Tokyo Station to Kyoto Station
  • Take the Nozomi Shinkansen to Kyoto. Guides and other staff do not ride on the Shinkansen with tour participants.
  • 11:55Arrive at Kyoto Station An English-speaking staff will guide customers from Kyoto Station to the lunch venue.
    Lunch (Western-style menu)
  • Enjoy lunch at a hotel.
  • Depart from Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo
  • After the meal, walk to the tour bus departure location (Sunrise Tours Desk in Avanti).
  • Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha)
  • Nara Park – A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world’s largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

  • 18:30Hotels in Kyoto City
  • Participants will be dropped off at their hotel in Kyoto City

Day 2: Includes: breakfast, lunch

  • 07:50Depart from Hotel in Kyoto City
  • Head from the hotel to the tour bus departure location (Sunrise Tours Desk in Avanti).
  • Nijo Castle – A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.
  • Kinkaku-ji Temple – A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond. [Regular]

    [Kyoto Imperial Palace Closed Days] Kitano Tenmangu
  • Shrine Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the substitute for Kyoto Imperial Palace on days it is closed to visitors. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine’s main hall is a designated national treasure.   • Lunch Participants will be provided a set menu meal.
  • Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine – Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of some 40,000 inari-jinja shrines located all over Japan. The bright red Senbon Torii gates are a must-see attraction.
  • Sanjusangen-do Temple – Visit the world’s longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century
  • Kiyomizu-dera Temple -The view of Kyoto from the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizu-dera is superb. The historic shopping lane that leads to the temple adds to a wonderful experience.
  • 18:00Arrive at Kyoto Station – An English-speaking staff will help customers board the Shinkansen at Kyoto Station. From Kyoto Station to Tokyo Station Head to Shin-Yokohama, Shinagawa, or Tokyo via Nozomi Shinkansen.
  • 20:30Tour ends at ShinYokohama Station, Shinagawa Station, or Tokyo Station
