Burning Years (2023) 似火流年 Episode 6 Recap & Review

Episode 6: Ding Yi is critically ill and stabbed to death for his change.
Ding Yi was injured in the eye and was hospitalized. His father was responsible for taking care of him. Wang Lei came to Ding Yi quietly and asked who was the person who came to his home with him that day. When his father returned from turning on the water, Ding Yisheng was afraid that Wang Lei would kill his family and scolded his father to leave. There was no one else in the ward. Ding Yi began to beg for mercy, but Wang Lei did not give him this chance.
He pricked Ding Yi’s hand with a knife and tried to strangle Ding Yi to death with an infusion tube. The nurse came in, screamed and ran away. Ding Yi couldn’t see, so he rushed towards Wang Lei, intending to fight to the death, but because he couldn’t see, he hit the window glass and fell down the second floor with his huge body. Wang Lei escaped, and Ding Yize’s eye injury from the initial admission to the hospital became critical.
When Qian Qian learned that Ding Yi had been abandoned, he cursed him as a waste. Sun Haijie thought that the recent events were too strange, and Wanhetang had rarely gathered together before. Sun Haijie ordered his subordinates to search for Jiezi’s whereabouts with all their strength, and to see people dead or corpses. Once Ding Yi is over the danger period, he will tell him when he can ask questions.
After learning that Ding Yi had an accident, except for Xu Weibiao, the other three wanted to tell Wang Lei about the incident, but found that he was treating his injuries and everything was self-evident. Together, the three of them did not plan to tell Wang Lei and Xu Weibiao that they had killed Wang’s mother with small change, and they also had to take turns to be on duty at the door of Xu Weibiao and Wang Lei’s homes to keep an eye on them. Zhang Peng happened to be on duty that day, but when Wang Lei went out, he fell asleep outside.
Wang Lei went to the Dameisha Dance Hall and beat him up, and finally saw the change. The two were fighting alone in a song and dance hall. Although Wang Lei was not afraid of pain, he was no match for change. Zhong Yunan and Zhang Peng told Xu Weibiao about this. Xu Weibiao rushed to the song and dance hall before anyone could tell Lin Zhihua. At that time, Chang Qian had already beaten Wang Lei to the ground and was about to kill him with a knife.
Xu Weibiao’s appearance interrupted Chang Qian’s next move. Then it was Xu Weibiao’s turn to fight with Ling Qian. Ling Qian had already spent most of his energy fighting with Wang Lei. He seemed a little powerless against the energetic Xu Weibiao. Wang Lei stood up and picked up the knife. Xu Weibiao saw the knife and cooperated with Wang Lei, pushing and stabbing him one by one.
Change was stabbed and he fell to the ground unable to stand up. At this time, Huier woke up after being knocked unconscious. Seeing Change, he asked him to hand the knife to him. Huier remembered that the change was bossing her around and sleeping with his wife. She suddenly lost her mind and stabbed the change on the ground countless times with the knife.
When Heerqing saw that Qianqian was dead but Huier was still alive and well, combined with the fact that Qianqian slept with Hui’er’s wife, Heerqing concluded that Huier was unclean and immediately killed him and buried his body in the backyard of Dameisha. The Public Security Bureau found two bodies and confirmed that one of them was Huier’s, while the other body was still being identified. Seeing that the incident between Ding Yi and the change intensified, Xu Weibiao took everyone except Lin Zhihua to his grandma’s house in the countryside to avoid the limelight.
Unexpectedly, my uncle and grandma had passed away long ago. At the two graves in front of the dilapidated house, Xu Weibiao knelt down and cried. From then on, the four people lived the life of Peking Man here, burning fires and fishing to fill their stomachs. Lin Zhihua pretended to go out to play, and Lin Hongmei also came, but she would leave in two days. Here, they did not live a life of hiding in Tibet, but a life of gods, laughing and having fun with their friends, except for Wang Lei, who always had an iceberg face.
