The University of Oulu (English: University of Oulu; Finnish: Oulun yliopisto), is a comprehensive public university in the northern city of Oulu, Finland, and a member school of LAOTSE. The University of Oulu is a vibrant scientific and educational base with 14,500 students and 3,100 teaching staff. The goal of the school is to improve the education system in northern Finland in order to build a high-level international science university.

The University of Oulu has a total of 6 colleges, namely the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Engineering. Other independent institutions include Arctic Medical Research Institute, Biology Center, Electron Optics Institute, Oulu Information Technology Center, Kajaani University Center, Language Center, Sodankyla Observatory, University Library, University Press, etc. .

The University of Oulu (Finnish: Oulun yliopisto) is a public comprehensive university in the northern city of Oulu, Finland, and a member school of LAOTSE. On July 8, 1958, the then President of Finland, Urho Kekkonen, signed the “University of Oulu Act”, marking the official establishment of the University of Oulu. The earliest established disciplines are mainly science, engineering and teacher education.

The University of Oulu has 10 colleges and 6 relatively independent research institutes, namely the School of Humanities, the School of Education, the School of Science, the School of Business, the School of Medicine, the School of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, the School of Engineering, the School of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, School of Mines and School of Architecture. It has opened four international master’s programs and currently has 50 students from many countries studying in the Institute.
