Episode 31: Rong Xia tampered with the imperial edict and the family was ransacked
Rong Xia tore up the marriage certificate beside Banhua’s bed and left Banhua’s house. Banhua was still in bed but was still crying. There was news in the palace that the emperor was ill, so Ban Huai hurriedly entered the palace. The emperor called Cheng Amber to enter, and with his last breath he told Rong Xia to assist the kind-hearted prince. The ministers outside the door soon heard Rong Xia say that the emperor was visiting the sky, the death knell was tolling, and heaven and earth mourned.
