Study English at Monol Philippines Baguio City, an institution with EOP (a policy requiring students to School teachers and staff must use English only) that is rigorous and practical throughout the school. Monol Institute is a 14-storey detached building located on the foot of the hill. This allows views of the mountains from some corners of the building. There is a strict security system. At the entrance of the school there is a 24/7 security guard. The floors of the building are clearly divided according to use. Students can choose to walk up and down the stairs or take the elevator. Monol offers similar comprehensive facilities as other English language schools in the Kopan network. But what’s interesting is the Sauna for students to relax for free. There is golf as a free optional class in the evening, including a full size basketball court. and comfortable dormitories.

Courses offered by Monol
1. General ESL :
For learning English as a second language for general use, it is divided into 3 courses: Regular Speaking ESL, One-on-one ESL and Group ESL.
1.1 Regular Speaking ESL : Communication course for normal use
It focuses on the development of listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation skills. Learners are divided into 2 levels based on their language proficiency: Foundation ESL and Essential ESL. Each sub-level takes a total of 8 weeks. But it may take less time if learners are able to pass the promotion test, which takes place every 4 weeks.
1.2 One-on-One ESL : One- to-one English course
The One-on-One ESL course caters to the needs of individual students. with quality interaction between students and teachers Students will have full opportunities to ask questions and practice their English with practice. in this course Teachers will be able to adapt to the communication style of students. can advise fully Able to understand and support and develop according to the needs of each student differently.
3. Group ESL : Group English Course
Group ESL courses emphasize in-class interaction between classmates and instructors. Even without face-to-face teaching But this course still focuses on training students to have confidence in communicating in English. by practicing discussion within the class and includes activities that promote student participation in the classroom.
IELTS scores are used as a benchmark for students’ level advancement.
2. Business English
The Business English Program is specific to the use of English in a working context. It is divided into 3 courses: Pre-employment (before hiring) Post-employment (post employment) and flight attendant training courses Each course is specifically designed to build confidence and effective communication skills in different situations. This course is recommended for students who have completed the Intermediate course of Regular Speaking ESL or Intensive Speaking ESL programs *with a minimum enrollment requirement of 4 weeks.
2.1 Pre-Employment : Prepare in English before hiring.
Pre-Employment Course Focus on preparing students to enter the job market. especially job interview skills Subjects in the course Focus on writing and listening skills in a work context. At the same time, it helps students to adjust their personality. to impress employers as well
2.2 Post-Employment : Develop English language skills for work
Post-Employment Courses Not only develop learners’ skills in writing and reading. But it helps to build self-confidence. As a basis for effective presentations, advertisements and communication in the workplace.
2.3 Flight Attendant Course : English
This course is for students who wish to become flight attendants. In addition to communication skills This course will also help learners develop skills in other areas related to flight reception effectively.
3. IELTS :
There are two types of IELTS preparation courses:
3.1 Regular IELTS : Suitable for students planning to study or work abroad. They want to improve their IELTS score either by the British Council or the IDP Australia IELTS. This course helps students to hone their foundations from understanding the IELTS test system as well as learning techniques for winning the test.
Recommended for students with a minimum MONOL IELTS score of 4.0 or students who have completed the Intermediate level of Regular Speaking ESL or Intensive Speaking ESL courses. This course has a minimum 4 weeks enrollment requirement.
3.2 IELTS Guarantee Score Program : IELTS course that guarantees test scores.
Monol IELTS Guarantee Score Program
As of March 2018, Monol will increase the IELTS 7.0 course guarantee for students with an IELTS score of 6.5.
4. TOEIC :
TOEIC test preparation courses are divided into 2 types.
It consists of 2 parts: Introduction to TOEIC for beginners and TOEIC Practice. It is designed to support 16 weeks of study, but with a minimum of 4 weeks students are required to study.

TOEIC test scores will be assessed after each semester is completed.
5. Family & Junior Program :
This program is designed for families and children. with the same content as studying in the normal program For this program, all family members have student status. and able to participate in various activities of the institute like other students (Available for children under 7 years old / Parents do not have to be parents of children)
Highlights of special programs for families and children
- Classes can be transferred between family members.
- In the absence of classmates Able to change group class to one-to-one class.
- Can choose to live in a room together. Depends on the number of family members
- Can leave the school area on normal days from 5pm to 9pm with permission from the administration. However, children are not allowed to leave the area without their parents
- Attend night classes to practice ESL and other subjects such as math. (Extra cost)
- Participate in extracurricular activities. on the weekend which is held around Baguio City (extra charge)
6. JUNIOR ESL :
Courses for children between the ages of 7 and 16, with the same curriculum structure as the regular ESL course, but with the addition of extra supervision by a team of mentors. The course structure is divided into two major and five sub-levels, each lasting 8 weeks in total. It may take less time if the Advancement Examination is passed every 4 weeks.
