The Three Kingdoms (220-280 years) was a historical period between the Han and Jin dynasties in China, and was divided into three regimes: Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Soochow. In 265, Sima Yan, the prime minister of the State of Wei, abolished Emperor Wei Yuan and established himself. The Three Kingdoms era officially ended, and Chinese history officially entered the Jin Dynasty era. In 280, Jin destroyed Soochow Wu, unified China, and the Three Kingdoms period came to an end.
