Delft University of Technology (Technische Universiteit Delft), located in Delft, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, was founded in 1842. It is the oldest, largest and most comprehensive technical university in the Netherlands. It is the top European engineering alliance IDEA Alliance members.

Its majors cover almost all fields of engineering and technology, and it is one of the most famous universities of science and technology in Europe. TU Delft is ranked 15th in the world for engineering and technology in the QS World University Rankings 2020.

Origin of the logo

The school emblem of Daidai University is composed of letters, torches and flames. This school emblem means following the footsteps of Prometheus, constantly innovating and developing better technology, and contributing to the development of human civilization.

The logo of TU Delft is based on the three representative colors of Daida: cyan, black and white. The letter “T” has a stylized flame on it, which symbolizes the flame that Prometheus brought to mankind from Mount Olympus against the will of Zeus, and “T” represents the torch. Prometheus and its flame are the important symbols and symbols of this university.

School location
