Synopsis:
A wealthy fox family (in human appearances) have nine daughters. The father of daughters is a known king in their world. One day the father decides to get her youngest daughter married through an arranged marriage. The youngest daughter love going to the muggle (human world) and enjoys everything-food, clothing, games, shopping. Therefore to avoid the marriage she does a make marriage contract with a muggle without letting him knowing her real identity, which leads to many interesting and craziness into their life.
The story tells the story of Liu Feng and Bai Meiying in ancient times, after they got married, they learned to tolerate through experience after experience, and jointly resolved the conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, passed on the family line, and educated future generations. Fox Xiao Jiumei was wounded in a fight with King Jinchan and fled down Phoenix Mountain, but was rescued by woodcutter Liu Feng.
After recovering from her injury, Xiao Jiumei never forgets Liu Feng’s kindness, and often goes down the mountain to help Liu Feng, and is moved by Liu Feng’s filial piety to her mother. So, she went down the mountain under the pseudonym Bai Meiying, married Liu Feng, helped him wash and cook, took care of his mother, and the family enjoyed themselves happily. Bai Meiying and Liu Feng went to Huashan Tianchi to look for divine water to save their mother’s eye disease . King Jinchan took the opportunity to catch Bai Meiying and threatened her to marry him.
Liu Feng’s sincerity moved the world, and after breaking the curse of the ax and lifting the ban on the ax god, he got his help to save his wife and cure her mother’s eye disease. The pregnant Bai Meiying borrowed the orb to absorb the essence of the sun and the moon, but was attacked by King Jin Chan, lost the orb, and turned back into her real body. Over time, other merchants followed the example of the Liu family and placed carved golden toads in their stores, implying prosperous business and abundant financial resources.
