Brand introduction
Audi is a well-known car developer and manufacturer, and its logo is four interlocking rings. It is now a subsidiary of Volkswagen, headquartered in Ingolstadt, Germany. The main models are A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8 [5-6], TT, R8 and S, RS performance series, etc.
The Audi Group includes the parent company and its subsidiaries Audi Hungary, quattro GmbH, Automobili Lamborghini and Cosworth Technologies, Audi Brazil and Audi Senalita. In addition, Audi has production plants in China, Malaysia and South Africa.
Audi is one of Germany’s oldest automakers. Since 1932, Audi has adopted the four-ring logo, which symbolizes the Auto Union company formed by the merger of Audi and Little Wonder (DKW), Horch (Horch) and Wanderer. In the 1930s, Auto Union covered all the passenger car segments the German auto industry was able to offer, from motorcycles to luxury sedans.
In 2008, Audi was selected as the No. 1 Brand in Chinese Buyer Satisfaction compiled by the World Brand Value Lab, ranking seventh.
Audi sedans are marked by four rings representing the four companies before the merger. These companies used to be manufacturers of bicycles, motorcycles and passenger cars. Since the company was originally formed by the merger of 4 companies, each ring is a symbol of one of the companies.
The history of the German company Audi in the manufacture of cars and motorcycles dates back to the 19th century. Four car companies originally based in Saxony – Audi and Horch in Zwickau, Rover in Chemnitz-siegmar (wanderer) and the dkw automobile company in zschopau, made outstanding contributions to the progress of the German automobile industry at that time.
The four automobile companies merged in 1933 to form the Auto Union ag (auto union ag, hereinafter referred to as the Auto Union). In terms of automobile production, Auto Union was the second largest automobile manufacturing company in Germany at that time, and the commodity symbol was four connected circles, representing the four automobile companies participating in the merger. For the first time in the world, the four-ring logo appeared.
After World War II, Auto Union’s car factory in Saxony was confiscated and dismantled by the former Soviet occupation forces. After that, many high-level personnel of the company went to Bavaria and established the auto union gmbh in Ingolstadt in 1949. It inherited the tradition of the old auto union and still has four A chain as a symbol.
Auto Union AG and nsu AG (nsu gmbh) merged in 1969 to form Audi-nsu auto union AG (audi nsu auto union ag); in 1985, the company was renamed Audi AG (audi ag), Headquarters moved to Ingolstadt, Fourth Ring.
It can be seen that Audi’s history was divided into two parts by World War II. The first part is the Auto Union before World War II, and the second part is the development of Audi after World War II.
