Introduction
The French Republic (referred to as “France”) is a semi-presidential republic located in Western Europe. Its overseas territories include some areas of South America and the South Pacific. It is the third largest country in Europe and the largest country in Western Europe. At the end of the century, it became one of the great powers in Europe.
