Onion Cake
Ingredients:
- Flour
- Shallots
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
7 steps for preparation:
1. Chop the shallots, mix them with a bowl of warm water and add a little salt for later use.
2. Slowly pour the water into the flour and stir to form a floc, knead the flour into a smooth dough and wake up for 20 minutes.
3. Use a rolling pin to roll out the awakened dough into a large cake shape. Sprinkle a spoonful of vegetable oil on the cake, a spoonful of salt, and evenly spread, and add an appropriate amount of chopped green onion.
4. Roll up from bottom to top, roll to the end of the other end to grow into strips, and use a knife to cut into segments about two centimeters long.
5. Take a long strip and pinch both sides, hold both ends with both hands, and twist twice in opposite directions.
6. Press down from top to bottom to form a small round cake. Set the small round cake aside and rest for ten minutes, and then roll it out with a rolling pin to form a thin cake embryo.
7. Brush a layer of oil on the cake pan. After the oil is hot, add the cake embryo and fry it until both sides are slightly yellow.
