
Shinsekai is the name of a district that gives retro atmosphere distinctive with the towering Tsutenkaku Tower and a source of food grade B (Grade B food means delicious local food at reasonable prices) complete with a variety of food including fried skewered food or Kushikatsu, Kansai-style pizza (Okonomiyaki) offal, boiled with miso or Doteyaki, fresh sushi or Gyu-katsu Sandwich and most of them are counter-eating shops. The Japanese people call Tachigui which is open door for us to taste the shop with a little bit taste then change to another shop and continuously with Joyfully.
At the bottom of the Tsutenkaku, there is a shop called “Daruma” which is a famous Kushikatsu shop. Wherever there are people waiting all the stars actors, and famous people of Japan come and visit this restaurant. As if it were a famous shop among famous stores again. There is also a public bath reminiscent of olden days and cafes decorated in antiquity.
The first source of this area came from the exhibition organized by the National Industrial Exposition in 1903. This event attracts a lot of people to this area about more than 5 million people within 5 months. After the end of the festival, this area has been further developed by building towers, parks, cinemas and amusement parks as seen today although the “New World” has been developed by the government for a long time. In the year 1900, however with the growth of the commercial district in the city like Namba which seems to be far ahead of this area. Therefore making this place gradually become more and more quiet but only if compared in the daytime only. During the night, this area can be said to be winning of the light night with lot of people come by.
If talking about the city plan in the north of Shinsekai district. It can be seen that the architecture is mainly influenced by Paris. In the south was built on Coney Island in New York as it is a very famous place to eat and drink at night. This area is full of local style restaurants with famous food such as Kushikatsu (should not be missed) skewers include chicken, beef, pumpkin and bamboo shoots as well as desserts including bananas and fried ice cream. Most of the shops are open 24 hours a day and are especially busy at night. If traveling all day is not enough and really want to get the experience for the night life in Osaka then must come to Shinsekai area.

- 5 minutes on foot from Shin-Imamiya Station [JR Loop Line],
- Dobutsuen-mae Station [Midosuji and Tanimachi Subway Lines] and
- Ebisucho Station [Tanimachi Subway Line].
