Episode 12: Gu Xingyan emerges
The endorsement cooperation between Qu Man and Dong Chen is about to expire. Qu Man was still a small actor when they collaborated, but now he has become a hot star. Qu Man’s agent is also her boyfriend. She is very angry that the other person doesn’t know what she wants and only arranges work for herself. Now she needs to rest.
The relationship between Xiaoxiao and Gu Xingyan is getting closer and closer. In fact, she is doing things according to Li Zhuoran’s wishes. She knows that Li Zhuoran wants to win over Gu Xingyan, and Lin Yi also asked her to follow Li Zhuoran’s wishes and make sure that Li Zhuoran is very satisfied. . Xiaoxiao met Gu Xingyan in the bookstore, and Xiaoxiao took this opportunity to take Gu Xingyan to a restaurant for dinner.
Gu Xingyan didn’t know that Xiaoxiao would come to such a smoky little restaurant to eat. Xiaoxiao had no airs. When she first joined Dongchen and her salary was very small, she came here every day to eat a bowl of hot wontons, which made her feel very happy. Warmth, now I often go to high-end restaurants due to work, but such places lack human touch.
Gu Xingyan’s friend in Canada, Xinxin, told her that someone came to investigate Gu Xingyan and asked whether she was born in Canada and whether her adoptive parents were Canadian. However, Xinxin was very smart and told the opposite and provided false information. However, the other party also took out Lin Yi’s photo and asked Xinxin if she knew him. Gu Xingyan thought of Lin Yi, so she took out Lin Yi’s photo and showed it to Xinxin through a video call.
Xinxin confirmed that it was the same person. Gu Xingyan was very grateful to Xinxin for helping her. Based on the information provided by Xinxin, Gu Xingyan speculated that Li Zhuoran was secretly investigating her.
The secretary reported to Li Zhuoran about the investigation of Gu Xingyan in Canada, and found out a piece of news that was beneficial to them, that is, Gu Xingyan had a conflict with Ariana, so she chose to return to China for development.
Li Zhuoran seized this opportunity and planned to split the design department. When he learned that Lin Yi was holding a work meeting, Li Zhuoran deliberately went to attend and also proposed to add Gu Xingyan’s name to the design of Lingxi products. This made Ariana very dissatisfied, but she also did not attend the work meeting. Good attack. Back in the design department, Ariana sneered at Gu Xingyan.
Ariana insisted on styling herself before the Lingxi press conference. As a result, she was followed by people arranged by Li Zhuoran, who deliberately crashed the car and created congestion. Ariana had not arrived at the scene before the press conference was about to begin.
Lin Yi had to go on stage to speak first to stall for time, but Li Zhuoran arrived at the scene with Gu Xingyan and solemnly introduced Gu Xingyan as the designer of the Lingxi ring.
Lin Yi’s secretary took Ariana to the company. She arrived a step late and only caught up with the tail end of the press conference. Lin Yi took the opportunity to bring Ariana to the stage to introduce her. After the press conference, Xiaoxiao investigated the situation of the car accident. Sure enough, the gang was in the same group. She told Lin Yi the news.
Lin Yi could think of who arranged it, but Li Zhuoran played into his own hands by doing this. He wanted to let Gu Xingyan emerge, and at the same time, taking advantage of Ariana’s promotion, Li Zhuoran’s seemingly sowing discord is actually helping Lin Yi.
Li Zhuoran praised Gu Xingyan so much that Dongchen’s employees were speculating about their relationship. Many gossip groups even had many versions of the rumor, and Xiaoqing and Li Mingkang almost believed it.
