Synopsis:
After Li Tan’s death, Empress Zhang and Si Shiming successfully planted seeds of doubt in Emperor Suzong’s mind, resulting in the removal of Li Chu’s military power. Dugu Jingyao is willing to marry Li Chu to help him regain power, and Zhenzhu helps Li Chu make a decision by forcing him to divorce her. Ultimately, Empress Zhang is defeated, and Li Chu ascends the throne as Emperor.
During the period of Tang Suzong, the royal family was worried about foreign troubles. The prince Li Ku was framed by the queen and died, and the eldest son Li Chu was deeply saddened. Above the court, Empress Zhang and Shi Siming slandered Li Chu, causing Li Chu’s military power to be seized. In order to cheer up Li Chu, Dugu Jingyao proposed to marry into the palace to assist Li Chu. Faced with Dugu Jingyao’s kindness and love for his wife Pearl, Li Chu is in a dilemma.
For the future of Li Chu and the Tang Dynasty, Pearl took the initiative to let Li Chu divorce and marry Dugu Jingyao, after which Li Chu was established as the prince. The tricks of Empress Zhang and Shi Siming became more vicious as Li Chu ascended to the throne step by step, and Shi Siming tore through his mask to rebel. Inside the court, Empress Zhang’s trick of establishing another prince was also seen through by the loyal minister Li Ji, and the prince’s position was secured.
Empress Zhang, who had already gone, struggled desperately and tried to kidnap Pearl to threaten Prince Li Chu. Li Chu exposed the tricks of Empress Zhang in front of the emperor, and the Queen finally suffered the consequences. With the help of all loyal ministers and generals and Dugu Jingyao, Li Chu successfully put down the rebellion. The Tang Dynasty finally stabilized, and Li Chu, who experienced great ups and downs, ascended to the throne and continued the glory of the Tang Dynasty.
