The attraction is located in the town of Mysore in the Indian state of Karnataka. Mysore Palace is the residence of the Wodeyar royal family. Despite its colonial history, Indians love and pay homage to this monument. Yes, tourists from all over the world flock to it: the palace is considered the second most visited attraction in the country after the Taj Mahal, with as many as 4 million tourists visiting it every year.

In fact, tourists do not see the same palace that came to us from ancient times. The complex itself was built in the 14th century, but is constantly being destroyed for some reason. Now we can use the “option” of the palace from 1897, when it was built according to ancient Hindu drawings and drawings. In 1940, the architecture of the palace was restored and can be seen in this form today.

The palace and park complex has 17 objects, including marble domes and bizarre arches, 40-meter-high towers, stone “laces” and sculptures of Hindu gods. Admission is $50.
