Kanto is a region of Japan on the Honshu Island. This region has Tokyo city as the capital city in Japan. This area is one of the best transportation systems in the world. This region in diversity about tourist attractions, varying from the busy metropolis of modern Tokyo, to the rich nature, colorful innovative, outstanding modern technology historic shrines and temples registered as World Heritage sites such as Nikko Shrine, Big Buddha, Fuji Mount view.

The Kanto region consists of 7 provinces: Chiba, Gunma, Ibaraki, Kanagawa, Saitama, Tochigi and Tokyo

1. Chiba

Chiba city is the capital city in Chiba Prefecture. This prefecture is about 40 kilometers on southeast side of Tokyo. This is place that Narita Airport locate.

2. Gunma

Ginma is the city of hot springs and spectacular mountain views. The main city is Maebashi.

3. Ibaraki

Since the past, Ibaraki province has produced a lot of sea products. People live life happily in all areas. This is charm of cultures and history in every area. The capital city is Mito.

4. Kanagawa

Kanagawa is located just south of Tokyo and the capital city is Yokohama. Also Kanagawa Prefecture is home of Kamakura and Hakone which are two highly popular destinations.

5. Saitama

Saitama is one of the prefectures in Kanto and near Tokyo. There are many interesting tourist attractions such as flower fields, old town areas, museums, theme parks, zoos, shopping areas. More delicious restaurants and desserts. You can travel from Tokyo for less than an hour.

6. Tochigi

Tochigi main town is Utsunomiya which is famous for Gyoza. Gyoza is food that is famous and delicious in this city. Also have one of the largest shopping malls in the north side call “the Bell Mall”.

7. Tokyo

Tokyo is one of the world’s biggest cities with large population in Japan. Tokyo Metropolis well known as the Japan main island. Name “Tokyo” means Eastern Capital and was formerly known as Edo which means river mouth. The city was founded by Tokugawa Ieyasu in year 1603 before changing name to Tokyo.
