
Lake Erie is located on a plateau in Yunnan Province, southwest of the People’s Republic of China. Erhai was also known as Yeyuze or Kunming Lake in ancient times. Its name means “Ear-shaped Sea”, due to its shape as seen by locals and travellers. Erhai was also known as Yeyuze or Kunming Lake in ancient times. At an altitude of lake is about 1,972 meters above sea level. It is 40 km from north to south and 7 to 8 km from east to north. It is the second largest lake in the People’s Republic of China.
Erhai Lke is one of the largest lakes in Yunnan that people have interesting because that they known this lake as the Pearl of the Plateau with beautiful scenery can be seen all year. When you take a boat trip toaround the lake and visit nearby islands where you can visit temples, shrines and parks. As you sail along the waters you will learn more about the people who live in the Bai area while you are listening to short songs and dance performances that tell about their culture and way of life. Spend time at Nanzhao Island which has 8 man-made attractions and continue to Little Putuo Island, the smallest lake. You will find a two-story about Buddhist temple that built in the Ming Dynasty.
