City history museum MUHBA, includes several Roman archaeological sites.
Barcelona is a seaside city in Catalonia which has something for everyone! Start with the architectural and engineering feat ofSagrada Familia, a Gothic / Art Nouveau church in the Catalan Modernist style. Construction of the church was begun in 1882 and it is still unfinished (expected to be completed in 2026). It was designed by the acclaimed genius Antonio Gaudi, who also designed Park Guell, Casa Batllo, and Casa Mila. Besides its striking, one-of-a-kind edifices, Barcelona is also famous for food tapas, paella, and crema catalana (or crème brulee – some disagree about who created this delicate dessert, the French or the Catalans.) On top of all this, La Ramblas, one of Europe’s most colourful walking streets, is not to be missed.
