Trip to Hokkaido Daisetsuzan, Japan
Daisetsuzan (大雪山) is Hokkaido’s largest national park. Daisetsu-zan located at Sounkyo, Kamikawa, Kamikawa District, Hokkaido 078-1701, Japan. It preserves a mountainous area of virtually unspoiled wilderness, which is larger than some of Japan’s smaller prefectures. It is a paradise for hikers, outdoor lovers, deer and brown bears, and the first place in Japan to see fall colors and snow each autumn. Early September is when autumn leaves start changing colors at Daisetsuzan Asahidake (2,291m above sea level). You can enjoy viewing autumn tint starting from the top and slowly moving to the foot of the mountain for about a month at the earliest autumn leaves viewing spot in Japan. If the timing is good you might be able to see autumn foliage and snow together. Ride on Daisetsuzan Asahidake Ropeway and experience an aerial walk for 10 min.
