The mysterious black slate enlightened the civilization of human beings on earth in prehistoric times. Three million years later, humans discovered the same slate on the moon, and the slab immediately emitted electromagnetic signals in the direction of Saturn. The United States sent the spacecraft Discovery to expedition to Saturn to investigate the truth. The spacecraft’s supercomputer, Hal, went mad, killed three hibernating astronauts, and turned Frank Poole into space drifting objects. Only David Bowman escaped. The surviving Bowman arrived at Saturn alone and found another larger black slab.
