The island territory of Sint Maarten (Dutch: Eilandgebied Sint Maarten), referred to as Sint Maarten. Originally one of the five island regions (Eilandgebieden) of the Netherlands Antilles (Dutch: Nederlandse Antillen), it is now an autonomous country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

English and local dialects are the most commonly used languages.
