Suon, the district chief of Serey Sophorn district, is a handsome prince who is only 23 years old, but he has been in office for two years now in Serei Sophorn district. He did not marry any woman, but all the people knew that he had been secretly having sex with an orphan named “Soya” for seven months.

One day, Mr. Suon received a letter from a high-ranking official in Phnom Penh who moved him to the city to take over the new government.

Mr. Suon thinks to himself! Come to this district for two years and move away from Phnom Penh, his hometown, where he has never been anywhere for so long! The widowed mother is alone in the capital, always reminding herself every day. It would be nice if the government required him to return home.

The district governor thought so and had a happy face.

Mr. Suon was feeling happy and happy to return to his mother’s place. Suddenly, his face suddenly turned pale with an idea that invaded his brain, “Oh! Soya Meas Bong! សួន ចៅហ្វាយស្រុក ស្រុកសិរីសោភ័ណ ជានាម៉ឺនប្រកបដោយរូបឆោមល្អឆើតឆាយ សមសួននឹងតម្រេះវិជ្ជា លោកអាយុទើបតែ២៣ឆ្នាំទេ ប៉ុន្តែលោកបានមកកាន់កាប់ស្ដីទីរាជការចំនួនពីរឆ្នាំហើយ ក្នុងស្រុកសិរីសោភ័ណនេះ។ លោកមិនបានដណ្ដឹងស្ត្រីឯណាមួយធ្វើជាគូគាប់ចិត្តសោះ ប៉ុន្តែរាស្ត្រទាំងពួងដឹងជាក់ថា លោកបានទៅរួមរ័កដោយលាក់កំបាំងនឹងស្ត្រីកំព្រាម្នាក់ឈ្មោះនាង “សូយា” ចំនួនប្រាំពីរខែហើយ។

ថ្ងៃមួយលោក សួន បានទទួលសំបុត្រពីរាជការធំដែលនៅភ្នំពេញ ផ្លាស់លោកទៅទីក្រុងដើម្បីទៅកាន់កាប់ទីរាជការថ្មីទៀត។

លោក សួន គិតថា ខ្លួនអើយ ! មកនៅស្រុកនេះចំនួនពីរឆ្នាំហើយ ឃ្លាតចេញពីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ដែលជាស្រុកកំណើតរបស់ខ្លួន ហើយដែលខ្លួនមិនដែលបានទៅណាមកណាឃ្លាតយូរដល់ម្ល៉េះសោះ! អ្នកម្ដាយម៉េម៉ាយនៅតែម្នាក់ឯង ឯរាជធានី តែងនឹងរលឹកខ្លួនរាល់ថ្ងៃ។ ការដែលរាជការ តម្រូវឲ្យត្រឡប់ទៅស្រុកវិញជាការប្រសើរណាស់។

លោកចៅហ្វាយស្រុកគិតដូច្នេះស្រេចហើយ ក៏មានទឹកមុខរីករាយ។

លោក សួន កំពុងតែនឹកមមៃ សប្បាយចិត្តដោយបានវិលថ្កានឋានមាតា ស្រាប់តែភ័ក្ត្រលោកប្រែជាស្រពោនមួយរំពេច ដោយមានគំនិតមួយ ចូលលុកលុយខួរក្បាលលោក “ឱ! សូយា មាសបងអើយ! នាងមានផ្ទៃពោះប្រាំខែហើយ បើបងនឹងចាកចោលនាងដូច្នេះ យល់ជាមិនសមគួរឡើយ ឥលូវ បើនឹងយកនាងទៅជាមួយផង យល់ថាមិនកើតទេ។ អ្នកម្ដាយកាលដែលខ្លួនចេញមកនៅស្រុកនេះ បានប្ដេជ្ញាថា កុំឲ្យទៅយកស្ត្រីឯណាធ្វើជាភរិយា ពីព្រោះអ្នកបា ដណ្ដឹងកូនគេបញ្ចាំចិត្តទុកឲ្យហើយ។ ព្រះអើយ! ខ្ញុំមិនដឹងគិតយ៉ាងណាទេ!

លោក សួន យកកន្សែងតូចមួយដែលជាស្នាដៃនាង សូយា ជូតទឹកភ្នែកដែលហូររឹមៗ។ លោកអញ្ជើញចូលទៅក្នុងបន្ទប់ មានដំណើរធេងធោង នឹងពន់ទុក្ខសោកនៅអាត្មា។

វេលានោះស្ត្រីម្នាក់ចូលមក។ នាងនោះមានរូបឆោមលោមពណ៌ល្អ ភាពជាស្រីថៃពាក់កណ្ដាល ស្រីខ្មែរពាក់កណ្ដាល ពោះប៉ោងបន្តិច ឲ្យសម្គាល់ដឹងថានាងមានផ្ទៃពោះ។

លោក សួន ឮសូរជើងនាងដើរ ក៏ចេញពីបន្ទប់ភ្លាម ស្ទុះទៅឱបនាង និយាយថា៖

សូយា ! មាស
ទឹកមុខនាង សូយា ក្រៀមក្រំស្រងូតស្រងាត់ គួរឲ្យអាណិតពេកណាស់។ នាងផ្ដេកក្បាលទៅលើទ្រូងសង្សារ នាងខ្សឹកខ្សួលអួលអាក់ ហូរធ្លាក់ទឹកនេត្រាទាំងគូរហាម។

លោក សួន យកដៃមួយចាប់ភ័ក្ត្រនួននាងផ្ទាប់នឹងឱរាលោក ដៃមួយទៀតអង្អែលកេសាស្ត្រី ពោលពាក្យល្ហឹមលេ
