Hainan Island is an island that located in southern of China. Hainan also know as “Hawaii of East Asia” for reasons of natural of beauty and have both of mountain and river surrounded by the blue sea with good weather. In addition, there are ancient cultural attractions and modern attractions can be see in here. Hainan Island have two big city that most tourists visit which are Haikou and Sanya. Both of them have international airport direct to the city. This will be experience when you travel in Hainan Island.
Haikou city is located on the beach. There are beautiful homes that can attract tourists with relaxed atmosphere. The road in Haikou is covered with various food scents. There are shopping carts that open various food sales services when you are feeling hungry and see many of these foods.
1. Feng Xiaogang Movie Theme Town in Haikou City
Feng Xiaogang Movie Theme Town open from Monday – Friday at 10.00 am – 22.00 pm and Saturday – Sunday at 8.00 am – 22.00 pm. Entrance fee starts from 38 CNY to 138 CNY which depend on promotion and packages.
This theme town is movie theater that similar to China’s Hollywood and is a memorial for Feng Xiaogang who’s the famous Chinese film director. The town opened in 2014 and located in Haikou. There are over 1,400 acres of land and this place been scenes from Chinese films such as “Back to1942”, “Tangshan Earthquake”, “If You are the One” etc. The buildings along way with the story of Shanghai godfather and you can walk, take pictures, wear a character in the movie throughout all day.
2. De Sheng Sha Road in Haikou City
De Sheng Sha Road locate in Haikou which is considered as the capital city of Hainan Island. This road is over 100 years old. De Sheng Sha Road is the road that preserves the style of ancient commercial building and still maintaining Chinese identity mixed with foreign cultures. You can see beautiful architecture around this road, too. This road you can see shopping products or stop by for meal at restaurant. Believe that you will fall in love with this road.
3. Shishan Town
The Shishan town located at Shinhan Town, Xiuying District which is North part of the main Shishan park. Nearby the town are many ancient village. The building make by volcanic rock.
4. Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geopark
Shishan Volcanic Cluster National Geo Park is about 15 minutes from Hainan where you can venture deep into dead volcano. The national geopark has area about 379 square kilometers. This also one of the sightseeing on the mystical volcano, ecological, cultural, science popularizing and scientific investigation.
5. Hai Rui Tomb or The tomb of Hairui
The tomb located at 39 Qiuhai Ave, Longhua Qu, Haikou Shi, Hainan Sheng, China. It is one of the tourists attraction that must visit. Because there are a lot of history from Ming Dynasty (1368 -1644). This cemetery was built in 1589 on a half-hectare area and considered to be an important cultural monument of Hainan.
6. Rongtang Village
Rong Tang Village is located at the north of Xishuang Town. This village is made of volcanic rock more than 900 years old such as houses, walls, roads, altars and cemeteries are all made from mountain rocks but today most of the residents moved out from the volcanic. Because the location is near to the entrance of the lava cave. The highlight in this village is the ruins of Rufu Pagoda.
7. Hainan Provincial Museum
The Museum highlights are about Hainan Island history and culture from older periods until present. The Hainan Provincial Museum is locate at 68 Xingguo Road. They have exhibited that includes dioramas depicting village life of earlier Hainan civilization which have more than 30 villages. This museum also have the story about Song Dynasty around years 1127 – 1279.
8. Five Officials Memorial Temples or Wugong Temple
Temple of the Five Officials Memorial from the Tang and Song dynasties with ancient architectural complex. There are the mainly hall include the Five Lords Ancestral Hall, the Sugong Memorial Temple, Hairui and Fubo memorial temples, Guanjia Tang literally known as “observe the crops hall”, Xuepu Tang (Studying Hall), the Ancestral Hall of the Two Fubo Generals, the East Hall and West Hall, the Suquan Pavilion as literally “millet spring pavilion”), the Xixin Hall, and etc.
