Folktales of Luo Yin

Folktales of Luo Yin
Once upon a time there was a large melon field, and countless large watermelons grew in the melon field.
One night, Luo Wulang, who was in charge of the melon field, saw a tiger come down from the mountain, shed its skin, and turned into a beautiful girl with a hula. Then it went into the melon field and stole the biggest watermelon to eat.
Goro looked at her secretly, both liking and fearing in his heart.
The next day, he told the matter to the grandpa next door, who was well-informed and taught him, “Prepare a ball of hot rice, and when the big girl opens her mouth, stuff it into her mouth, and she eats the rice ball.” , you will forget that she is a tiger spirit, and then you marry her as your wife!”
That night, the tiger turned into a big girl again to steal melons. The moment she opened her mouth to eat watermelon, Goro rushed over and stuffed a hot rice ball into her mouth.
After eating the hot rice balls, the girl forgot that she was a tiger spirit. She stayed in the melon field and married Goro. Goro was afraid that his wife would turn back into a tiger again, so he secretly hid the tiger skin in the shrine.
In the second year, this tiger spirit gave birth to a son, named Husheng. Husheng is very clever, he has a vivid memory for reading. He knew how to write poems at the age of seven. One day when it snowed heavily, he wrote a poem titled “Snow” and said:
To the best of luck,
How about the good year?
There are poor people in Chang’an,
Rui should not be more.
After reading this poem, the husband clapped his hands and praised: “Child prodigy! Child prodigy! At such a young age, you care about the world and care for all sentient beings. When you grow up, you will be amazing!”
At this time, there was a naughty child who laughed loudly when he heard this: “He has a fart! You don’t know, sir, his mother is a tiger spirit, and the tiger skin is still hidden in the shrine!”
When Husheng heard this, he threw away the book in his hand, stopped reading, ran home, pushed open the door, hugged his mother’s thigh, and cried loudly: “Mother, they said you are a tiger spirit, and the tiger skin is still there. In the shrine…”
When the mother heard this, she suddenly came to her senses. She threw off the child, ran all the way to the shrine, found out the tiger skin, shook it, and immediately put it on her body. There was only a sound of “huwa”, and the tiger’s mother turned into a tigress on the spot. The tigress ran back home, opened her mouth without asking why, and ate her husband Luo Wulang. After eating her husband, she turned around and wanted to eat her son again.
At that time, the situation was urgent, so the grandmother brought a large basket, covered her grandson in it, and scolded the tiger, “As the saying goes, a tiger doesn’t eat its poison, he is your son, so you can’t eat it!”
The tigress listened, nodded, and ran up the mountain in a hurry, never coming back.
Because the child was saved by hiding in a basket, people called him Luoyin. Later, he felt that the bamboo characters in Luo characters had too many initial strokes, so he wrote them as “Luo Yin”.
Luo Yin lost his parents and had to live with his grandmother.
To get to school from my grandmother’s house, I had to pass through a ruined temple. Every time Luo Yin walked to the entrance of the ruined temple, a row of clay bodhisattvas who had been sitting firmly stood up and bowed to him in salute.
Luo Yin thought it was fun, so he didn’t go home after school, and kept running around in front of the temple. When it was dark, the stars and the moon came out, and the grandmother came out to look for him, and saw the mud Buddha standing up and sitting down, sitting down and then standing up, all of them were sweating profusely, and a thick layer of mud fell on the ground. Shavings, while Luo Yin kept laughing “hee hee ha ha”.
The grandmother was taken aback, and hurriedly pulled Luo Yin home.
When I got home, my grandmother said to Luo Yin: “When you pass by the gate of the temple tomorrow, when you see the clay bodhisattva standing up, ask them: ‘What will I do when I grow up?'”
The next day, the mud bodhisattva stood up and bent down to salute. Luo Yin asked them, “Nud bodhisattva, what will I do when I grow up?”
As a result, a whole row of clay bodhisattvas replied in unison: “Be the emperor.”
When the grandmother learned that her grandson would grow up to be an emperor, she was so proud that she almost grew a golden tail. On the twenty-third day of the new year, the day when the Stove Lord was going to go to heaven, the grandmother quarreled with the old lady of the neighbor Wan’s family. She got angry and said, “What’s so great about you? Kill all your family members!”
It is said that Master Zaojun is old, deaf, and confused in his heart, thinking, how can he kill all the family members? He hurried to heaven and complained in front of the Jade Emperor: “Then Luo Yin can’t be the emperor, he wants to kill all his family members!” When the Jade Emperor heard this, he panicked and sent Lei Gong down to earth overnight to remove Luo Yin’s keel.
In the middle of the night, there was thunder and thunder on the roof, and Luo Yin only felt pain in his bones, as if he was being sawed by a steel knife. He shouted: “Grandma, someone tore my bones, it hurts! It hurts!”
Grandma took a toilet seat by hand and told Luo Yin to bite on it: “Hold tight, don’t let go!”
Lei Gong dismantled Luo Yin’s keel and replaced him with a beggar’s bones. However, because Luo Yin was biting the toilet lid tightly at that time, Lei Gong was afraid of getting dirty, so he didn’t change his dragon teeth and the emperor’s mouth bone.
After that, Luo Yin became a vagabond beggar with a whole body of cheap bones. However, he still has a golden mouth of the emperor, and what he says will come true.
It is said that when Luo Yin grows up, he can’t make progress in his studies, and he dies when he farms, and he goes to business—the salted fish will resurrect and escape when it encounters rain, sell bean drums, and green shoots will grow again. At the end of the road, Luo Yin was so hungry that he had no choice but to grit his teeth and go out to beg for food.
On the first day he went out, it was raining coldly. He came to a tile kiln and wanted to warm himself by the fire. But there is only one stove door in the tile kiln, so if Luo Yin is allowed to warm up the fire, there is no way to add firewood. So the tile-burning master came over and chased him away. Luo Yin scolded him: “Evil hearted person! Your tile kiln will not be fully cooked in one day, two days, and three days…” He scolded him as he walked, until “it will not be cooked in six days!” “Just stopped talking. Ever since, originally a kiln tile blank only needed to be fired for one day, but after Luo Yin’s Jinkou said, it would take seven days and seven nights to be cooked.
Luo Yin left the tile kiln and came to a bowl kiln, where he borrowed fire from the kiln master to keep warm. There are many stoves in the Bozi kiln, so it would not be a problem for him to keep warm, so the kiln master agreed. The master felt sorry for his shabby clothes, so he let him eat the rest of the rice. Luo Yin was very happy, so he said to the master burner: “The bowl kiln only needs to be fired for one day, and it doesn’t matter if it is cooked or not.” Does not affect the quality of the bowl.
The next day, he wandered to a paddy field and saw a farmer sitting on the ridge of the field, eating hot and fragrant noodles. Luo Yin went over to beg for noodles, and the farmer said, “This is all that’s left, and it’s not enough for you. Why don’t you plant rice seedlings for me, and I’ll get you a bowl of noodles when I go home.”
Luo Yin was so hungry that she agreed, “Okay, serve it quickly!” But how could Luo Yin do farm work? He planted a few seedlings in a crooked manner, and then he became tired and sat panting on the head of the field waiting for noodles to eat. The farmer put on a face and came out, seeing Luo Yin’s sluggish appearance, he was very angry, scolded him: “I don’t know how to do the work, how can I have noodles?” He poured the bowl of fragrant noodles into the paddy field casually.
Seeing the fragrant noodles in his mouth being poured out, Luo Yin got angry and said, “The big ones turn into leeches, and the small ones turn into leeches.” So, the noodles turned into leeches, and the thin noodles turned into leeches. turned into a leech. Since then, there have been countless leeches and leeches in the paddy fields.
One day, when he turned over the hill and walked up the hill, suddenly a pheasant flew up from the side of the road, which startled him. Luo Yin became angry, scolded the pheasant and said, “You are a thing that weighs less than three catties with feces and hair!” Because Luo Yin scolded it before, the pheasant is always lean and lean, and never weighs more than three catties. catty.
Luo Yin begged for food and came to Jian’ou. One day, while walking on the road, the rope binding the quilt broke. He asked the farmer who was plowing the field to entrust the oxen for a oxen rope. Yeah?” Luo Yin said, “Give me the ox rope so that the ox doesn’t need a rope.”
The farmer untied the ox rope and gave it to Luo Yin. Strange to say, even though there was no rope, the cow became very obedient, telling it to turn left and not right, to walk and stop freely, and to do whatever it wanted. From then on until now, in the Jian’ou area, cattle ropes are not used for plowing the fields.
Luo Yin came to Danyang begging for food, tired and hungry, walked into a bakery, the owner gave him a piece of almond cake, there were seven or eight small ants on the cake, the owner said apologetically: “Every piece of cake in my shop.
There are many ants on the cake, don’t be disgusted with it, it would be great if there were no ants in the pastry shop!” Luo Yin sighed while eating: “It’s good if ants don’t come into the pastry shop again!” I saw ants coming down from the shelves and cabinets in groups, and crawling out of the store, not even half of them remained. Since then, there hasn’t been a single ant in the pastry shop in Danyang.
Luo Yin has no heels, and homes are everywhere. Once, when he wandered to Dadeng Island in Xiang’an, he happened to meet fishermen returning from fishing at sea, with a warehouse full of paparazzi, alive and kicking. The greedy Luo Yin stepped forward and said, “Brother fisherman, do me a favor, give me some fresh shrimps to try.” Seeing Luo Yin’s ragged clothes, the fisherman ignored him: “Go away, go away, beggar at a young age Do you still want to taste seafood?”
Luo Yin’s face was flushed, and when he turned to leave, he muttered and cursed: “Who wants your stinky sea prawns? It stinks out of the water, stinks off the boat!” Quickly, the whole boat of sea prawns immediately gave off a stench, which was unbearably pungent, and a large group of flies with golden heads and green wings descended from the sky, “buzzing…” circling the cabin, lingering, going and going. Come.
Knowing that Emperor Luo Yin had a sharp mouth, the fishermen quickly caught up with Luo Yin with home-cooked shrimp, invited him to eat shrimp, and apologized. Luo Yin ate with relish, nodded in praise and said, “Even though it smells stinky, it tastes sweet.”
That’s it, this kind of “dog shrimp” has become a special product of Dadeng Island in southern Fujian. Its uniqueness lies in—— It dies immediately after leaving the sea water, and turns red and smelly quickly, but it tastes stronger, sweet and delicious when cooked.
Luo Yin left Dadeng Island and came to the foot of Xiang’an Fragrant Mountain. He saw several woodcutters chopping pine trees on the mountain and chopping firewood. Luo Yin went up to chat with them. After chatting happily, they sat down on a section of pine wood. Unexpectedly, the pine wood flowed out resin, which firmly stuck to Luo Yin’s buttocks, causing everyone to laugh. Luo Yin smiled and scolded: “If the pine and cypress beheaded, there will be no future generations.”
The woodcutter was anxious when he heard this, and said: “Pine is the best wood, how can we make it no future?” Luo Yin thought for a while and said, “It doesn’t matter, the wind of pine nuts has been spread for thousands of miles.” From then on, as long as it is a pine tree that has been cut, the top of the tree will die soon, but the pine seeds can fly with the wind, and they are naturally sown on the ground. Between mountains and rivers, it takes root. Luo Yin turned around a hill and climbed up to Mount Hongjian, where he saw the woodcutter cutting down fir trees. The fragrance of the Chinese fir tree touched the heart and lungs, and it was very comfortable.
Luo Yin said: “After the fir tree is cut, it will sprout again.” From then on, even if it is a fir tree that has been cut down, the top of the tree will sprout again, and many new saplings will grow . Today, if you climb Xiangshan, you will see a lush pine forest. And Hongjian Mountain is covered with cedar trees, covering the mountains and plains, exuding the fragrance that Luo Yin had smelled back then.
……
Luo Yin traveled to countless places and said countless words, and every word he said became true.
One day, Luo Yin was tired from walking and hungry. He sat on the side of the road to rest and saw a fat and strong buffalo passing by. How nice it would be.” At this moment, it was raining heavily, Luo Yin hurriedly hid in a gray hut nearby.
Luo Yin drank the wine in the gourd and said: “If you have wine today, you will be drunk today, and you will be sad tomorrow.” Then he fell asleep and fell asleep. Also sheltering from the rain in Huiliao is a cowherd baby.
The cowherd boy recognized Luo Yin, and he didn’t want Luo Yin to eat his big buffalo, so he took the brush from Luo Yin’s body, grabbed Luo Yin’s hand, and wrote a line on the Huiliao pillar: “Huiliao collapsed, Crush Luo Yin to death.” When Luo Yin woke up, the rain had cleared and the cowherd boy had left.
Seeing a line of words written on the pillar, Luo Yin casually read: “Hui Liao collapsed, crushing Luo Yin to death.” This thought was terrible, what the emperor said was fulfilled, and as soon as he finished reading, Hui Liao collapsed, and crushed Luo Yin to death.
