What Country did Mummies Originate from?

In ancient Egypt, due to cultural reasons in the early days, the corpses of kings or ministers were preserved as mummies, that is, mummies. Without a high medical level, this could not be done. Unlike ancient China, making mummies even formed a custom in ancient Egypt.
In addition, human body freezing technology is also called by some scholars as a kind of modern mummification technology. If someone dies, his body is first sent to a place called a “clothes department”: dedicated to purifying corpses. After the body is washed with soda water, it is sent to a place called “Qabait” (meaning pure place) or “Pel-Nafir” (meaning beautiful house) to complete the filling of spices.
Historical Origin
In ancient Egypt, there was such a moving myth and legend. A long time ago, Osiris, the son of Sebu, the god of earth, was very capable and was once the king of Egypt (Pharaoh). He taught people to engage in agricultural production, such as farming, making bread, brewing wine, and mining, and brought happiness to people. Therefore, people worship him very much, regard him as the god of the Nile, and believe that people’s lives are given by Osiris. He had a younger brother named Seth, who had evil intentions and conspired to kill his brother and seize the throne.
One day, Seth invited his brother to dinner, and found many people to accompany him. During the meal, Seth pointed to a beautiful big box and said to everyone: “Whoever can lie in this box, he will give it to him.” Osiris, encouraged by everyone, tried it in front of everyone’s interview. But as soon as he lay in, Seth closed the box, locked it, and threw him into the Nile.
After Osiris was killed, his wife, the goddess Isis, searched everywhere and finally found the body. Unexpectedly, this matter was known by Seth. He stole the body again in the middle of the night, cut it into 48 pieces, and threw them in different places. Isis found fragments of Osiris’ body from various places and buried them on the spot.
Later, Horus, the posthumous son of Osiris, was born. He was very brave since he was a child. After growing up, he defeated Seth, avenged his father, and inherited the throne of the world. He dug up the fragments of his father’s body from various places and pieced them together to make a mummy “mummy”. With the help of God, his father was resurrected.
The resurrection of Osiris was not a resurrection on earth, but a resurrection in the underworld. In another world, he was the master, responsible for judging the dead and protecting the human pharaoh.
This fairy tale began to spread among the people. Later, the Egyptian pharaoh heard it and used it to deceive the people, saying that he had the help of God, so he was a ruler alive and a ruler after death. Whoever opposes the Pharaoh will be punished while he is alive, and he will not be able to pass the trial of Osiris in the underworld after death.
Since then, every Egyptian pharaoh has to perform the myth of Osiris after his death. The first step is to hold a funeral ceremony. The second point is to hold a cleansing ceremony, that is, to dissect the corpse, take out the internal organs and bone marrow, and make a mummy “mummy”. The specific method is to first immerse the corpse in a kind of salt water to dissolve the oil and wash off the epidermis. After 40 days, the corpses were taken out to dry. Fill the cavity with spices, coat the outside with gum to prevent the body from contacting air and bacteria, and then wrap the body tightly with cloth.
In this way, the “mummy” that lasts for a long time is made. The third step is to recite the mantra to open the eyes, nose, ears, and mouth of the “mummy” and stuff food into its mouth. It is said that in this way, one can breathe, talk and eat like a living person. The last is the burial ceremony, where the “mummy” is put into the sarcophagus and sent to the tomb, the “eternal residence” they operated for themselves during their lifetime.
