History of Chiropractic Association of Thailand
Chiropractors are known and were first treated in Thailand in 1980, shortly thereafter. They were forced to leave the country. Because there is a risk of arrest for treating patients without a license. Doing Business with Cairo Science The first continuous practice of Practicing started in 1993. Until 1998 a total of 10 Chiropractors were registered to do business in Thailand. Work permit and pay taxes properly But the status is still unclear. At that time, the Ministry of Labor issued a permit. But the Ministry of Public Health has not recognized chiropractic as a legitimate health care profession.
Between 1993 and 1999, many Chiropractors were arrested for treating patients without a license. A chiropractor was charged with operating a medical facility without a license. Chiropractors working in the country at the time worked in constant fear of arrest. This situation was the same as in the early days of the profession in the United States and other countries. Just as it was during the pioneering chiropractic era in the United States. Chiropractors in Thailand are trying hard with their knowledge and showing their good intentions for theirs.
One of the early pioneers of Chiropractic in Thailand was Dr. Oat Burana, a Thai citizen who graduated in Chiropractic from the United States. realized that something had to be done in order to a) Stop arrests b) Make the chiropractic profession legally recognized in Thailand In 1999 he decided to start the Chiropractic Association of Thailand.
Dr. Oat has contacted every Chiropractor he knows. who worked in Thailand at that time Ready to invite everyone to join his new guild. Much credit must be given to Dr. Oat. He did not choose to make any difference between foreign Chiropractors. He invites everyone to join together. Most Chiropractors also choose to participate. Few of them refused. This is always the case when starting something new.
The association wasted a bit of time, in the beginning, negotiating with the Ministry of Health with the goal of recognizing chiropractic as legal. The Medical Chiropractic Association of Thailand succeeded in making the Ministry of Public Health accept and set up a sub-committee. To devote to the study to realize the potential of chiropractic medicine. The association has also participated in numerous presentations and demonstrations at the Ministry of Health.
Members of the association spend thousands of hours working together to achieve common goals. is to be officially recognized Comprehensive reports on the effectiveness of chiropractic treatment have been translated into Thai. and sent to the Ministry of Health The Ministry of Public Health then sends employees to every clinic that operates to check patient records.
The staff has the independent authority to contact the patients of the clinics to assess their satisfaction with the service. Fortunately, we have a group of good Chiropractors working here and providing excellent service. We were able to pass this assessment beautifully.
Years passed with many failures. This is because some medical professional associations have opposed our efforts to legalize chiropractic. Several objection letters were sent to the Ministry of Health. This has delayed our journey towards becoming a legitimate professional. But we continue to persevere. Finally, in 2007, after 8 years of hard work. Our efforts were rewarded with the enactment of the Chiropractic Medicine Regulations. which is the recognition of this profession in Thailand
Looking through the path of chiropractic regulation This is a great achievement of the Chiropractic Medical Association of Thailand. This allowed us, the chiropractors today, to operate without fear of arrest any longer.
We are therefore able to respond to the mission. and provide services to the public to the fullest extent possible At the same time, it offers patients the option to choose to treat with a doctor by taking medication. Or will undergo surgery to eliminate their health problems as quickly as possible.
