Synopsis:
Sparrow is a 2016 Chinese television series based on the novel of the same name by Hai Fei, starring Li Yifeng as the title character. It aired on Hunan TV from 5 September to 20 October 2016.

In March 1940, the Wang pseudo-government was announced. The Japanese invaders hunted anti-loggers in Shanghai, and Wang Peng formed the “Special Operations Division” , headed by former KMT military officer Bi Zhongliang , to make a fool of it . Chen Shen , a member of the Chinese Communist Party who had been lurking beside Bi Zhongliang, code-named “Sparrow,” temporarily lost contact with the organization. In the perilous situation of Chen Gulang, Chen Shen had a firm belief and took the liberty to rescue the “prime minister” and the resistance journalist.

Bi Zhongliang’s old-fashioned and treacherous man, although “same brother” with the life-saving beneficiary Chen Shen, had doubts about it and set up traps step by step.
