The Biography of Shakyamuni Buddha -1- Preface

“Chapter One Preface” {Chapter 1}

If we want to understand the content of religion and whether religion is what we need in our lives, we must first understand the leader of a religion. Are his personality and wisdom worthy of our worship and belief? And if we worship and believe in him, can he really guide us to get rid of the troubles and pains of life? I think: This is the first thing we need to know about religion.

Because our belief in religion is not only to temporarily seek spiritual sustenance and spiritual comfort, but the highest purpose is to escape life and death, and to find happiness from suffering. Therefore, when we believe in religion, we must first know whether his leader has a history to test. Has the personality reached perfection? Has the self-nature been purified? Has it been liberated itself? These issues cannot be ignored.

Buddha Sakyamuni, the leader of Buddhism, was born on April 8, 464 BC. The place where he was born in India, which is known as one of the four ancient cultural countries in the world. This is recorded in both Chinese and foreign history. Therefore, we must not regard the Buddha as a god who comes and goes without a trace, nor can he be regarded as a god who is imagined. He has the time and place of his birth and even the parents who gave birth to him. After years of hard work and hard work, he has finally become a perfect man with great wisdom and enlightenment! This is unanimously recognized by Chinese and foreign scholars and religious experts.

Shakyamuni Buddha was born in the human world, grew up in the human world, and became a Buddha in the human world. He is the light of human wisdom in our long night, and he is our boat in the boundless sea of suffering. His personality has reached the most perfect state, his self-nature is pure and untainted, he has been freed from all bondage and troubles in the world, and he has been far away from the pain of life and death. He has lived in the world for more than forty years, telling us the way to seek liberation, and showing us the way we should walk. All the Buddhadharma that he left in this world, of them flowed from his great wisdom and all of them are the ways for us to get rid of suffering and achieve happiness.

We take refuge in the embrace of Buddhism, we can not only believe in Buddhism as a religion but also study Buddhism as an academic. At the same time, Shakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, can be the highest model for each of us to be human beings.

The savior Shakyamuni Buddha is the most noble and great saint in the world, and Buddhism is the most profound religion in the world. Buddhism has been passed down to this day, and although it has spread all over the world, it is a pity that believers who promote the holy religion focus on talking about it and ignores the spirit that the Buddha should transform into the world. Theory surpasses reality, and they have not realized Buddha’s original intention of living in the world. Only by carrying forward the Buddha’s spirit of enlightening people and saving the world can Buddhism be more admired and emulated.
