Now that I have accepted and upheld what I have seen and heard , I wish to understand the true meaning of Tathagata
Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra

So I heard. At that time the Buddha was in the country of Savatthi. Just give the tree to the lonely garden. With the great monks. One thousand two hundred and fifty people. Then. The Lord is eating. Wearing clothes and holding an alms bowl. Enter the great city of Savatthi. Begging for food in his city. Begging every time. Return to home. The meal is over. Collect the mantle. Have washed enough. Sit down and sit down.
The elder Subhuti. among the masses. That is, get up from your seat. Favoring the right shoulder. Land on your right knee. Put your palms together respectfully. And white Buddha said. Hope there is a World Honored One. The Tathagata protects and cares for all Bodhisattvas. Pay good advice to all Bodhisattvas. World Honored One. Good man. A good woman. Develop anuttara-samyak-sambodhicitta. Why should Yun live? How could he subdue his heart? Buddha said. Good, good, good. Subhuti. As you said. The Tathagata protects and cares for all Bodhisattvas. Pay good advice to all Bodhisattvas. You listen carefully now. Let me tell you. Good men and good women have the mind of Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi. This is how you should live. This is how to subdue his heart. Only the World Honored One. I wish I could hear it.
The Buddha told Subhuti. Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas. He should subdue his heart in this way. All sentient beings and so on. If oviparous. If the fetus is born. If wetness arises. If transformed. If there is color. If colorless. If you have any idea. If you don’t think about it. If you don’t think about it. If not without thoughts. I will cause them to enter Nirvana without any residue and save them. In this way, countless and boundless sentient beings are annihilated. There are really no sentient beings who can be saved. Why. Subhuti. If the Bodhisattva has the form of me. Human appearance. The appearance of all beings. Longevity. That is not a Bodhisattva.
Repeat. Subhuti. Bodhisattva in Dharma. There should be no place to live. Practice giving. The so-called don’t stop giving alms. Don’t stop giving alms with the sound, fragrance and touching the Dharma. Subhuti. Bodhisattvas should give in this way. Don’t live in appearance. Why. If the Bodhisattva does not give alms. Its merits are immeasurable. Subhuti. What do you mean? The emptiness in the east is inconceivable. No. World Honored One. Subhuti. South, northwest. Four dimensions up and down. The void cannot be considered. No. World Honored One. Subhuti. The Bodhisattva has no abiding appearance and gives alms. The same goes for merit. Unthinkable. Subhuti. Bodhisattvas should live as taught.
Subhuti. What do you mean? Can we meet the Tathagata in person? No. World Honored One. You cannot see the Tathagata physically. Why. Tathagata said the physical form. That is not the physical form. The Buddha told Subhuti. All appearances. All are false. If you see that everything is different. See the Tathagata.
Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. Quite a lot of sentient beings. You can hear the words spoken like this. Believe it or not. The Buddha told Subhuti. Don’t make excuses. After the Tathagata dies. Five hundred years later. There are those who keep the precepts and cultivate good fortune. In this chapter. Can generate confidence. Take this as reality. You should know that you are a human being. Not one Buddha and two Buddhas. Three, four, and five Buddhas. And plant good roots. Already in the presence of countless Buddhas. Plant good roots. Wen is the chapter and sentence. Even one thought gives rise to pure faith. Subhuti.
The Tathagata knows and sees. It’s all sentient beings. Gain such immeasurable merit. Why. It’s all sentient beings. There is no longer the appearance of me, the appearance of human beings, the appearance of sentient beings, and the appearance of longevity. Unable to relate. There is no illegal appearance either. Why. It’s all sentient beings. If the heart takes the form. That is for the longevity of all sentient beings.
If you take the form of the Dharma, it will affect the longevity of all sentient beings. Why. If you take the illegal phase. That is, the one who protects the longevity of all sentient beings. Therefore, the method should not be adopted. It should not be taken illegally. For this reason. The Tathagata often says. You monks. Know what I say. Like a raft. Dharma should be given up. Not to mention illegal
Subhuti. What do you mean? The Tathagata obtains Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. The Tathagata has something to say. Subhuti said. As I understand what the Buddha said. There is no fixed method. His name is Auntara Samyak Sambodhi. There is no fixed method. Tathagata can say. Why. Tathagata said. All are undesirable. It cannot be said. Illegal but not illegal. So what? All saints. All based on inaction. And there is a difference.
Subhuti. What do you mean? If a person fills three thousand worlds. The seven treasures are used for giving. It is the merit that people gain. I would rather have more than anything. Subhuti said. Many world-honored ones. Why. It’s Ford. That is, it is not meritorious. This is why the Tathagata says there are many blessings. If there is someone again. It is upheld in this sutra. Even four sentences of gatha. Speak for others. His blessings are greater than those of others. Why. Subhuti. All Buddhas. And the Dharma of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi of all Buddhas. All come from this scripture. Subhuti. The so-called Dharma. That is not Buddhism.
Subhuti. What do you mean? Sotapanna. What you can do is read. I have obtained the Sotapanna. Subhuti said. No. World Honored One. Why. Sotapanna. It’s called inflow. And enter nowhere. Not into color, sound, fragrance or touch. His name is Sotapanna. Subhuti. What do you mean? Stohan. What you can do is read. I can’t get the result of Situohan. Subhuti said. No. World Honored One. Why. Stohan. Famous exchanges. But there is really no communication. His name is Situohan. Subhuti. What do you mean? Anagami. What you can do is read. Do I have the fruit of Anagami? Subhuti said. No. World Honored One. Why. Anagami’s name could not come. But it comes true.
Hence the name Anagami. Subhuti. What do you mean? Arhat. What you can do is read. I have to be an Arhat. Subhuti said. No. World Honored One. Why. There is no way. Named Arhat. World Honored One. If an Arhat thinks like this. I have the path of Arahant.
That is for the longevity of all sentient beings. World Honored One. The Buddha said that I have achieved Samadhi without any objections. The first among men. He is the first Arahant to be free from desire. World Honored One. I don’t think right and wrong. I am a dispassionate Arahant. World Honored One. If I think so. I have the path of Arahant. World Honored One. Then it is not said that Subhuti is a happy Alana practitioner. With Subhuti. Nothing can be done. And the name Subhuti is the practice of Le Alan.
The Buddha told Subhuti. What do you mean? The Tathagata was in the place of Ran Deng Buddha. There is no gain from the law. No, World Honored One. The Tathagata is at the place of Ran Deng Buddha. Nothing is gained from the law. Subhuti. What do you mean? The Buddha Land is not adorned with Bodhisattvas. No. World Honored One. Why. The one who adorns the Buddha land. That is not solemn. It’s called solemnity. That’s why Subhuti. All Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas should have pure minds in this way.
Don’t live in color and give birth to your mind. The sound, fragrance, and dharma should not touch the mind. There should be no place to live. And give birth to his heart. Subhuti. For example, there is a human body like the King of Mount Sumeru. What do you mean? It’s a big deal. Subhuti said. Very big. World Honored One. Why. Buddha said it is not the body. It’s a big body.
Subhuti. Like all the sand in the Ganges River. Such sand is like the Ganges River. What do you mean? These are the sands of the Ganges River. I would rather have more than anything. Subhuti said. A lot. World Honored One. But the Ganges. There are countless more. Not to mention its sand. Subhuti. I tell you the truth now.
If there is a good man. A good woman. You will be filled with seven treasures as many as the sands of the Ganges River. Three thousand worlds. To use alms. How blessed are you? Subhuti said. A lot. World Honored One. The Buddha told Subhuti. If you are a good man. A good woman. in this sutra. Even upholding four lines of gatha and so on. Speak for others. And this merit. Victory before the merit.
Subhuti again. Just say it. Even four sentences of gatha. Know this. All devas and asuras in the world. All should be supported. Such as pagoda temple. Not to mention someone. Read and recite as much as possible. Subhuti, you should know that this is the most rare and supreme method for human achievement. If it is where the classics are. That is to say, there is a Buddha. If you respect your disciples.
Then. Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. What should we call this sutra? How can we support this ? The Buddha told Subhuti. This sutra is called Vajra Prajnaparamita. So the name. You should uphold it. So what? Subhuti. The Buddha said Prajnaparamita. That is not Prajna Paramita. It is called Prajnaparamita. Subhuti. What do you mean? Tathagata has something to say. Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. The Tathagata has nothing to say. Subhuti. What do you mean? Three thousand worlds. All motes of dust. Yes and no. Subhuti said. A lot. World Honored One. Subhuti. All motes of dust. The Tathagata says it is not a particle of dust. It’s called Mochen. The Tathagata says that the world is not the world. It’s the world. Subhuti. What do you mean? Can we meet the Tathagata thirty-two times? No. World Honored One. You cannot see the Tathagata with the thirty-two signs. Why. The Tathagata talks about thirty-two phases. That is right and wrong. It’s called the Thirty-Two Phases. Subhuti. If there is a good man. A good woman. Give as much life as the sand of the Ganges. If there is someone again. in this sutra. Even upholding four lines of gatha and so on. Speak for others. His blessings are many.
Then. Subhuti. I heard it was a sutra. Understand the meaning deeply. Weeping and crying. And white Buddha said. Hope there is a World Honored One. The Buddha said this is a profound classic. I come from the past. Gained insight. I have never heard of such a sutra. World Honored One. If there is someone again. You must hear this sutra. Faith is pure. That is the birth of reality. You should know that you are a human being. There is merit in being number one. World Honored One. Is the real one. That is right and wrong. This is why the Tathagata says the name is true. World Honored One. I can hear this classic now. Faith and understanding are upheld. Not difficult enough. If in the afterlife. Five hundred years later. It has sentient beings. You must hear this sutra. Faith and understanding are upheld. This person is the first rare thing. Why. This person has no self-image, no one, no living beings, and no lifespan. So what? My appearance means right and wrong. The appearance of human beings and the appearance of living beings. That is right and wrong. Why.
Away from all appearances. Named Buddhas. The Buddha told Subhuti. So it is. If there is someone again. You must hear this sutra. Not surprised, not frightened, not afraid. You should know that this person is very rare. Why. Subhuti. The Tathagata talks about the first paramita. That is not the first paramita. It is called the first paramita. Subhuti. The Paramita of Patience. The Tathagata says it is not the paramita of patience. This is called the Paramita of Patience. Why. Subhuti. Just like I used to be King Goli. Cut off the body. I am here. No self-image. No one cares. No signs of sentient beings. The appearance of those who have no life span. Why. I am in the past. When it breaks apart. If there is an image of me, people, and sentient beings, they have the image of longevity. Anger should arise. Subhuti. I also thought about the past five hundred lives. Be a forbearing immortal. In your world. No self-image. No one cares. No signs of sentient beings. The appearance of those who have no life span. That’s why Subhuti. A Bodhisattva should be free from all appearances.
Develop anuttara-samyak-sambodhicitta. Don’t live in color and give birth to your mind. The sound, fragrance, and dharma should not touch the mind. There should be a mind that has no place to dwell. If the heart is there. That is non-residence. This is why the Buddha talks about Bodhisattva’s mind. Don’t live in color and give alms. Subhuti. Bodhisattvas benefit all sentient beings. Therefore, one should give in this way. The Tathagata talks about all appearances.
That is right and wrong. Also talking about all sentient beings. That is, not sentient beings. Subhuti. Tathagata is the true speaker. The real talker. Like a speaker. Those who don’t lie. Those who don’t speak different languages. Subhuti. The Tathagata obtains the Dharma. This method has no reality and no illusion. Subhuti. If the Bodhisattva’s mind abides in the Dharma. And give alms. Like a person entering darkness, nothing can be seen. If the Bodhisattva’s mind does not abide in the Dharma. And give alms. Just like people have eyes. The sun shines brightly. See all kinds of colors. Subhuti. The world to come. If there is a good man. A good woman. Can this sutra. Read and recite. That is Tathagata. With Buddha’s wisdom. Knowing is a human being. Seeing that he is a human being. All will achieve immeasurable merit.
Subhuti. If there is a good man. A good woman. On the first day, give as much as a body of sand from the Ganges River. In China and Japan, we will donate as much as the sand of the Ganges River. The next day, I will also donate the same amount of Ganges sand as a donation. It is so immeasurable. Hundreds of thousands of billions of kalpas. Give with your body. If there is someone again. Listen to this classic. Faith is not contrary. His blessing is better than his. Not to mention writing, upholding, reading and reciting. Explain to people. Subhuti. To say something important. This sutra is incredible. Not weighable. Boundless merit. The Tathagata speaks for those who develop the Mahayana. It is said for the best. If anyone can accept, uphold, read and recite. It is widely said. The Tathagata knows that he is a human being. Seeing that he is a human being. All achieve success. immeasurable. Incommensurable. There is no limit. Incredible merit. Such people wait. That is the Tathagata Tathagata. Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Why. Subhuti. If you enjoy small Dharma. I see people, see sentient beings, see longevity. That is this sutra. Can’t listen to the reading and chanting. Explain to people. Subhuti. Everywhere. If there is such a sutra. All devas and asuras in the world. What should be provided. Know this. That is the tower. All should be respectful. Surrounded by rituals. Spread the fragrance of flowers everywhere.
Subhuti again. Good men and good women. Read and recite this sutra. If you are contemptuous of others. This is a person’s sinful karma from his previous life. Should fall into evil ways. Because people in this world are contemptuous. Past sins. That is to destroy. You should obtain Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. I remember the past countless asamkhya kalpas. In front of the lamp-burning Buddha. The Buddhas worth eight hundred and forty thousand billions of nayutas are obtained. All of them support and serve. No one has passed. If there is someone again. In the post-apocalypse. Be able to accept, uphold, read and recite this sutra. The merit gained. The merits of all the Buddhas I offer to you. Less than one percent, a quadrillion percent. Even arithmetic. Out of reach. Subhuti. If you are a good man. A good woman. In the post-apocalypse. Anyone who accepts and upholds this sutra should read and recite it. The merit gained. If I am a speaker. Or someone smells it. The mind is in a frenzy. Suspicion and disbelief. Subhuti. You should know that the meaning of the scripture is incredible. The consequences are also incredible.
Then. Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. Good man. A good woman. Develop anuttara-samyak-sambodhicitta. Why should Yun live? How could he subdue his heart? The Buddha told Subhuti. Good man. A good woman. Those who have the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Such a mind should be born. I should save all sentient beings. All sentient beings have been annihilated. But there is no one who can truly achieve annihilation of all sentient beings. Why. Subhuti. If the Bodhisattva has the form of me. Human appearance. The appearance of all beings. Longevity. That is not a Bodhisattva. So what? Subhuti. There is no way. Those who have the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. What do you mean? The Tathagata is at the place of Ran Deng Buddha. There is no way to obtain Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. No. World Honored One. As I understand what the Buddha said. The Buddha is in the burning lantern Buddha’s place. There is no way to obtain Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Buddha said. So it is. Subhuti. There is no way. The Tathagata attained Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. If there is a Dharma Tathagata who can achieve Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. However, Deng Buddha did not give me a prophecy. You in the next life. You should become a Buddha. No. Sakyamuni. There is really no way. Obtain Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi. That’s why the lamp Buddha. Give me a prophecy. Make this statement. You are in the next life. You should become a Buddha. No. Sakyamuni. Why. Tathagata. That is, all laws are as they should be. If someone says. The Tathagata attained Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. There is no way. The Buddha attained Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. The Tathagata obtained Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. So there is neither reality nor emptiness. This is why the Tathagata speaks of all dharma. All are Buddhist teachings. Subhuti. All that is said is Dharma. That is, not all laws. That’s why it’s called all dharmas. Subhuti. For example, when a person grows up. Subhuti said. World Honored One. The Tathagata says that people grow up. That is, the non-big body. It’s a big body. Subhuti. The same is true for Bodhisattvas. If so. I will save countless sentient beings. That is not called Bodhisattva. Why. Subhuti. There is no way. Named Bodhisattva. This is why the Buddha taught all dharma. There is no self, no one, no sentient beings and no life span. Subhuti. If the Bodhisattva says this. I will be the solemn Buddha land. He is not a Bodhisattva. Why. The Tathagata adorns the Buddha land. That is not solemn. It’s called solemnity. Subhuti. If a Bodhisattva understands the Dharma of selflessness. Tathagata’s name is really Bodhisattva.
Subhuti. What do you mean? Does the Tathagata have physical eyes? Such is the World Honored One. Tathagata has physical eyes. Subhuti. What do you mean? Does the Tathagata have celestial eyes? Such is the World Honored One. The Tathagata has celestial eyes. Subhuti. What do you mean? Does the Tathagata have discerning eyes? Such is the World Honored One. The Tathagata has a wise eye. Subhuti. What do you mean? Does the Tathagata have Dharma eyes? Such is the World Honored One. Tathagata has Dharma eyes. Subhuti. What do you mean? Does the Tathagata have Buddha eyes? Such is the World Honored One. Tathagata has Buddha eyes. Subhuti. What do you mean? Like all the sand in the Ganges. The Buddha said it was Shabu. Such is the World Honored One. The Tathagata says it is sand. Subhuti. What do you mean? Like all the sand in the Ganges River. There is such sand as the Ganges River. This is the number of sand in all the Ganges rivers. Buddha world. It would be better to have more than that. Many world-honored ones. The Buddha told Subhuti. In your land. All sentient beings. Several kinds of hearts. The Tathagata knows. Why. The Tathagata speaks of all hearts. All are unintentional. It’s called the heart. So what? Subhuti. The past is unattainable. It’s unattainable now. The future is unattainable.
Subhuti. What do you mean? If someone fills three thousand worlds. The seven treasures are used for giving. It’s because of people’s fate. How blessed are you? Such is the World Honored One. This person has received many blessings due to this cause and condition. Subhuti. If the merit is real. The Tathagata does not say that one has much merit. There is no reason for merit. The Tathagata says that you gain a lot of merit.
Subhuti. What do you mean? The Buddha can have a complete form and body but cannot see it. No. World Honored One. The Tathagata should not be seen in a complete form. Why. The Tathagata has a complete body. That is, it does not have a complete body. This is called having a complete body. Subhuti. What do you mean? The Tathagata can meet all kinds of things. No. World Honored One. The Tathagata should not meet with all kinds of things. Why. The Tathagata says that all the characteristics are sufficient. That is not sufficient. This is called having all the characteristics.
Subhuti. You should not say that the Tathagata thinks like this. I should have something to say. Don’t think about it. Why. If people say that Tathagata has something to say. That is slandering the Buddha. You can’t understand what I said. Subhuti. speaker. There is no way to say it. It’s a famous saying. At that time Subhuti, the wise man, spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. There are quite a lot of sentient beings in the future. Hearing it is Dharma. Doesn’t give birth to faith. Buddha said. Subhuti. He is not a living being. Not without sentient beings. Why. Subhuti. All living beings. The Tathagata says that they are not sentient beings. It is the name of all living beings.
Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. The Buddha attained Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Gain nothing. Buddha said. So it is. Subhuti. I am in Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. There is even no way to get it. This is called Anuttarasamyaksambodhi.
Repeat. Subhuti. It is equality of law. There is no superiority or inferiority. This is called Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. There is no self, no one, no sentient beings, and no life span. Practicing all good Dharma will lead to Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Subhuti. Those who speak of good deeds. The Tathagata says that this is not a good dharma. This is a good law.
Subhuti. If in the three thousand worlds. All kings of Mount Sumeru. Waiting for the gathering of seven treasures. Someone is giving alms. If people follow this Prajnaparamita Sutra. Even four sentences of gatha. Read and recite. Speak for others. Yu Qianfu. Less than one percent. Hundreds of trillions of points. Even arithmetic cannot reach it.
Subhuti. What do you mean? You should not say that the Tathagata has such thoughts. I should save all sentient beings. Subhuti. Don’t think about it. Why. There is really no Tathagata who can save all sentient beings. If there are sentient beings who can be saved by the Tathagata. The Tathagata is the one who has the longevity of all sentient beings. Subhuti. The Tathagata says that there is me. That is, there is no me. And ordinary people. Thought there was me. Subhuti. Ordinary people. The Tathagata says that he is not a human being. He is an ordinary person.
Subhuti. What do you mean? Can the Tathagata be observed with the thirty-two physical signs? Subhuti said. So it is. Observe the Tathagata with the thirty-two signs. Buddha said. Subhuti. If you look at the Tathagata with the thirty-two characteristics. The Holy King of Wheels is the Tathagata. Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. As I understand what the Buddha said. The Tathagata should not be viewed with the thirty-two physical signs. Then the World Honored One. And say verses.
If you see me with my form and pray to me with my voice, you
are a person who practices evil ways and cannot see the Tathagata.
Subhuti. If you think so. The Tathagata does not have sufficient appearance. Obtain Anuttara Samyak Sam Bodhi. Subhuti. Don’t think about it. The Tathagata does not have sufficient appearance. Obtain Anuttara Samyak Sam Bodhi. Subhuti. If you think so. Those who have the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. It says that all dharmas are destroyed. Don’t think about it. Why. Those who have the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. In the Dharma, there is no talk about the elimination of the phase of annihilation.
Subhuti. If a Bodhisattva fills the world with seven treasures such as the sand of the Ganges River. Keep giving. If there is someone again. Know that all dharma has no self. Success comes from patience. This Bodhisattva has more merit than the previous Bodhisattva. Why. Subhuti. Because Bodhisattvas do not receive merit. Subhuti spoke to the Buddha. World Honored One. How can a Bodhisattva not receive merit? Subhuti. The merits of Bodhisattvas. Don’t be greedy. This is why it is said that one does not receive merit.
Subhuti. If someone says. The Tathagata comes and goes, sits and lies down. It’s people who don’t understand what I mean. Why. Tathagata. Nothing ever comes. There is nowhere to go. Hence the name Tathagata.
Subhuti. If a good man is a good woman. With three thousand worlds. Crushed into dust. What do you mean? They are the dust particles. I would rather have more than anything. Subhuti said. A lot. World Honored One. Why. If the dust particles really exist. The Buddha does not say that they are dust particles. So what? The Buddha said that there is a mass of dust particles. That is to say, they are not just dust particles. This is the name of the dusty people. World Honored One. Tathagata said there are three thousand worlds. That is not the world. It’s the world. Why. If the world really exists. That is a conjunction. Tathagata says. One conjunction. That is, it is not a combination. It is called a conjunction. Subhuti. One in conjunction. That is, it cannot be said. But ordinary people. Be greedy for things.
Subhuti. If someone says that the Buddha said, “I see people, I see sentient beings, I see people who have longevity.” Subhuti. What do you mean? This person understands the meaning of what I say. No. World Honored One. These people do not understand the meaning of what the Tathagata said. Why. The World-Honored One said: I see people, I see sentient beings, I see people with longevity. That is to say, it is not my view of seeing people, seeing sentient beings, and seeing longevity. This is called my seeing people, seeing sentient beings, seeing those who have longevity. Subhuti. Those who have the mind of Anuttarasamyaksambodhi. to all laws. You should know this. So seen. If so, I understand. No Dharma appears. Subhuti. The one who speaks of the Dharma. Tathagata says. That is illegal appearance. It is called Dharma.
Subhuti. If someone fills the seven treasures of Asamkhya’s world with immeasurable amounts. Keep giving. If there are good men and good women. Those who have bodhicitta. Hold on to this sutra. Even four sentences of gatha. Read and recite. Speak for people. His blessings are greater than those of others. Why do you speak for people? Not based on appearance. Ruru doesn’t move. Why.
All conditioned phenomena are like dreams,
bubbles, dew, and electricity. It should be viewed as such.
The Buddha said that this is the sutra. Elder Subhuti. And all the monks. Bhikkhuni. Upasaka. Upasika. All the world. Asura, the celestial being. Hear what the Buddha said. Everyone is happy. Believe and practice.
