Incheon (Korean: 인천) is a coastal city in northwestern South Korea, the second largest port and the third largest city, with an area of ​​1,062 square kilometers and a population of 3 million. On December 26, 2019, it ranked 155th in the 2019 Global Top 500 Cities List.

Terrain

Except for more than 10 mountains such as Mani Mountain (469m), Guiyang Mountain (395m) and Triangle Mountain (343m), most of the mountains are below 300m above sea level. The hills and mountains near the coast are developed, and there are no large rivers. There are Goupo, Cheongcheon, and Gyesan rivers that flow into the Han River. The Sicheon River and Gongcun River in the north, and the Seonggi River, Manshou River, Changshou River, and Unyeon River in the south flow into the West Sea.

Among them, most of the rivers such as Ouura River (11.5km), Seunggi River (6.2km) and Geumdancheon (6.74km) are very short and less than 10km. The coastline belongs to the rias coast, which is long and complex with many islands. Incheon has a total of 155 islands, of which 115 are uninhabited uninhabited islands.

Hydrology

There are Goupo River, Cheongcheon River, Gyesan River, etc., which flow into the Han River. Completed in October 2009, the Incheon Bridge is a new landmark and tourist attraction in Incheon. It connects Yeonsu District and Incheon International Airport, becoming the longest bridge in Korea and the seventh bridge in the world.
