Reviews: The Omega Tokyo 2020 Olympics Collection

“Tokyo 2020 is the 29th Olympic Games where Omega is the official timekeeper”

Omega always presents limited editions in major sports events such as Tokyo 2020 on its way. At Tokyo 2020, OMEGA will fulfill its role as Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The athletes who have trained so hard to compete on the world stage can trust OMEGA to record their performances. OMEGA has produced a selection of watches inspired by the colors and symbols of the great sporting occasion.

CLOCK DEDICATED TO THE OLYMPIC GAMES

To commemorate this sporting celebration, the sapphire crystal case back set at Niard Rock has the Tokyo 2020 Olympic emblem transcribed. Behind it, you can see the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8800 for great accuracy and performance.

LIMITED EDITION CASE BACK

This model of “Aqua Terra” is limited to 2,020 pieces worldwide. The case back is decorated with a limited number, and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic emblem is transferred to sapphire crystal glass. Equipped with OMEGA Master Chronometer Caliber 8900.

In honor of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Omega, the official timekeeper of the Games, has created a victorious watch.

TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC COLLECTION

1. The Omega Speedmaster Tokyo 2020 Olympics Collection comprises five watches, all based on the classic Speedy Professional Moonwatch (sapphire crystal version), with a design (unsurprisingly) inspired by the five colors of the Olympic flag – namely the blue, yellow, black, green and red rings depicting the five continents. Each version will be produced in a run of 2,020 pieces and a set of all five watches.

2. SEAMASTER DIVER 300M “TOKYO 2020”

Diving at the Olympic Games is famous, but this “Diver 300M” is fascinated by its different underwater performances. The blue ceramic bezel ring in the 42 mm stainless steel case features a white enamel dive scale.

3. SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA TOKYO 2020 LIMITED EDITION

The Seamaster Aqua Terra works perfectly on land and in the water, just like the athletes in the Olympics. For this 41mm stainless steel model, Omega has adopted the first ceramic dial in the “Aqua Terra” collection.

4. SEAMASTER PLANET OCEAN TOKYO 2020 LIMITED EDITION

Every city that hosts the Olympic Games has its own theme and culture at the Games. This “Seamaster Planet Ocean”, which expresses a tribute to Tokyo, was created with a truly Japanese element.

DIAL EMBLEM

The polished blue ceramic dial is laser engraved with a pattern inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic emblem, with rhodium-finished hands and indexes.
