Reviews: Grand Seiko SBGA415

The SBGA415 features a dial that captures precious moments in the Japanese seasonal calendar. And this is a modern reinterpretation of the famous 62GS from 1967.

The light gray dial surface was inspired by the winter snow that covered the mountains during Taisetsu, the 21st season of The sub-season 24 sekki is powered by a Spring Drive caliber 9R65 movement, hand-assembled by craftsmen from the Shinshu Watch Studio.

This is a modern reinterpretation of the celebrated 62GS from 1967. The 62GS was not only the first Grand Seiko (Grand Seiko) to be driven by an automatic movement. But it’s also the same as the 44GS model released the same year.

It was the watch that for the first time represented the design principles of the Grand Seiko Style, and continues to be the principle of Grand Seiko watchmaking today. Distortion-free perfection which only Zaratsu polishing techniques can create. and an open face made possible by a bezel-less structure.
